Welcome to Pickleballers Next Door
Pickleball is more than just a sport. It is a community. From the first pop of the ball to the paddle tap across the net, this game brings people together. That is the heart behind the Pickleballers Next Door Podcast, capturing the laughs, lessons, and neighborly spirit that make pickleball so addictive.
Meet Your Hosts
Pickleballers Next Door began with cofounders Greg Ballard and Mike Paze, two friends who shared a love for the game and a vision to bring the pickleball community together through conversation and laughter. Their story and the inspiration behind the podcast can be heard in Episode 3: Who We Are.
As a well-known and well-loved figure in the pickleball world, Greg brought both deep knowledge and trademark humor that helped shape the show’s foundation and tone. His voice and spirit continue to resonate throughout the early episodes, where listeners can hear his insights and enthusiasm from Episodes 1 through 37. Greg concluded his time with the show after episode 37 to pursue new creative directions within the pickleball community, leaving behind a legacy of insight, humor, and passion that continues to inspire the show today.
Mike Paze continues to lead the podcast with the same passion that first inspired its creation. An experienced player and certified pickleball coach, Mike brings both competitive insight and a teacher’s mindset to every discussion. He actively competes in tournaments and has his sights set on qualifying for the National Pickleball League, reflecting his ongoing commitment to growth in both the sport and the community that surrounds it.
In Episode 23: Meet Our New Co-Host Christana, Christana Elliott joined the team, bringing a fresh perspective as a new player discovering the excitement of the game. Her curiosity, humor, and genuine enthusiasm capture the experience of countless newcomers finding their place in the pickleball world.
Today, Mike and Christana carry forward the Pickleballers Next Door legacy, sharing stories, laughs, and inspiration from every corner of the court while celebrating the people who make pickleball such a vibrant and welcoming community.

On the Court, Everyone’s a Neighbor
Pickleball is unique in its inclusivity. On the court, everyone’s a neighbor is more than a phrase; it’s the way the game is played. This sport invites anyone to step onto the court, no matter their age, skill, or background, and find a place in the community. It can be competitive, emotional, and full of intensity, but at the end of the day, we come together, tap paddles, and share a laugh. That open-ended welcome is the heartbeat of our podcast and the sport itself.
