APP Tour

Association of Pickleball Players • Est. 2019 • theapp.global

The APP Tour is the most accessible professional tour in pickleball. Unlike the PPA, the APP does not require exclusive contracts — players at all levels can compete alongside each other in open draws. This makes APP events unique: a 4.5-rated amateur might face an elite professional on the same court.

Tour Comparison
The world's top-ranked pros (Anna Leigh Waters, Ben Johns, Federico Staksrud, etc.) compete exclusively on the PPA under contract. The APP develops its own ecosystem of elite players — many of whom have never held a PPA contract. Players occasionally cross from APP to PPA as their careers develop.
