Episode Transcript

Thank you for tuning in. I'm Greg. I'm Mike. And we are the Pickleballers Next Door. We are for the Joes and not the pros. Your court, our court. Thank you for tuning in to Pickleballers Next Door. I'm Greg. I'm Mike. I was going to be Greg. You wish you could be me. That's cool. I do. So how are you today, Mike? What's been going on with you? I'm doing better. The frog is almost gone. Heck yeah. Oh my gosh. I'm a baby. I'm going to admit that when I get sick, I am a total baby. I think that's just men. I am the same way. My wife called it the men cold. You think you're going to die? I do. I just, I knock on wood. I'm thankful to be so healthy. So I think that's what's the worst of it is if you're never sick and you get sick, you don't know what to do. Oh, definitely. Yeah. But if my, my, hopefully my voice will come back full. My wife was giving me a hard time yesterday. So she said, I sound like an old guy. I mean, I am an old, you are an old guy. I am getting old. I feel like you sound like you've always sounded. Do I? Yeah. Good. Well maybe it's back and she's got me self conscious that I'm sounding funny. I think so. I think that's what it is. Yeah. No, you sound good right now. I feel good. I got to play some pickleball. So that's hell yeah. How long has it been? Uh, well I played twice, twice last week and I played today before we got here to do the podcast and I, I play up in Westminster. It's a newer court and um, I call it the grumpy old man court. Yeah. These guys, it's the funniest thing. When I first started playing there, even last year I would go and these guys are just about playing to win. There is no fun about this game. It's about, we're going to win. Like if you're the teammate and you're playing this other partner, do not mess up. Don't mess up because you are going to get like, you're going to feel their eyes burn into you and you can hear some blah, blah, blah, blah. What? That's amazing. But they truly are like anywhere from fifties to 70 years old, but really good players. Oh nice. But they're just grumpy. They're the grumpy court. So maybe that's where I get some of it. See, maybe, maybe it's rubbing off on you. It's like contagiary is, but I feel good cause I'm, I'm keeping up. You know, I mean playing with you and some of these other good players, I'm getting better. You know what I mean? And that makes you feel good. It does. It definitely does. Like when I played with that group that was, I was definitely the weakest link. I felt good and I kind of figured out really quick what I needed to work on. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it stands out like a light on you when you're doing something bad with good players because they keep doing the same thing to you cause they know, Oh, he's not going to get that backhand, you know, shot. Right. You know? So I played in an open play, I think it was last week. It was an advanced open play last week and I was just kind of like, eh, you know, we'll see what happens. And it was actually really good. We, there was, I don't think there was one person in that open play that didn't belong there. Um, but the week before that I played it in an open play at the same place and I left after an hour because absolutely no one in that advanced place should have been there. Yeah. Yeah. We don't, we, again, I think we talked about this. We're going to have an episode about how to, you know, where to go to find out how, what duper or what, what level you're at. Um, we don't always know where we are when we're playing is cause we play with a lot of the same people. Now me and you don't cause we're, because of our schedules and what we do, we play everywhere whenever we can play. Correct. And if you have food, we're there. Absolutely. If there's food, we're there. So remember if you want us somewhere, just mention food. Say, Hey, we got lunch for you. We'll be right there. Drive a whole day to get there. We would, especially if it's good. Yeah. But, uh, yeah. So getting to play again, it's just crazy though. You, you know, used to be when I didn't play or I missed a couple of times or missed a week or something, it felt so like I was so far away. Actually, when I come back, I feel like I play better is, do you ever experienced that? Yes. Yes. You've rested and you've lost some of the things you were doing bad. Absolutely. Um, I've had really bad days where I couldn't do anything right. I actually played one game and is like, I've never played before. I wasn't moving forward. I was playing from the baseline. I don't know what the heck I was doing. I couldn't, I couldn't make a shot. I couldn't decide what shot to make. I couldn't read the ball. I mean, you name it. I could not do it. How about the one that drives me crazy is like my legs won't move. I don't get it. Like I know where the ball is coming and like the legs are doing, they have a brain of their own. You just kind of do a hard lean like your body, your front's moving and you're glued to the floor. You do a hard lean to hit a ball. And after you hit the ball, then you step. Yeah, I know. I know that feeling. That's right. But yeah, it seems like that in, it just seems that this sport is growing so much that the players, there's so many more players and they're leveling up. So I read a statistic. Oh, okay. In the last three years, pickleball has gained or grown 315%. Oh my gosh. Well, that's good for us, but I can feel it that when I started, it felt like, even though I was playing with a lot of different players, like the players are really advanced. Even some of the ones that are the three fives are coming. They're moving faster. Like the game is like when we started, felt like I was stuck for a long time in the beginning area. These people I'm playing with are moving up because there's so much play everywhere. I mean, playing with people is what's eventually going to get you really moving up. I mean, taking lessons is great. It's going to give you the fundamentals, but once you start actually playing with those higher level people, then that's when you actually start moving up. You get those game reps in. You do. I, that's, that's why I think I liked them playing the most is open play. Like I like when we get four of us together, good four players that you're not, you're just going to play really good games. They're just good games. You're you, there's not, unless somebody's off that day, they're going to be good games. But when you go, if you go to a good open play, like the one you just did the advance and you get a good one, man, it's like you had the best two hours of your life. I'm the opposite. Really? I rather have four really good people or five really good people playing on the same court, renting a court and then open play. Cause I've been to, that's the only open play that I've been to that was good. True. Everything else has been very hit and miss. Yeah. Well, and I, like I said, I, I'm, we're, we're doing a lot with the Pickler and we're both, we play, I play at the Thornton Pickler and I know we're getting ready to do the grand opening one coming up here on the 19th in Aurora. Yeah. And, uh, you know, they're doing a good job too. I think the way they're, they're giving a lot of classes. Um, I did something called speedball. It was really fun. I just did this last week. This is one of the days I got to play. That's why you're so hyped. I'm so hyped up. Yes. I can't get an energy drink or something else. No, just joking. But, uh, yeah, you get in there and the coach is there. There's four, there's eight players. They rotate you in and he just yells a shot. He throws you the ball, a drive, a backhand drive, a drop, a lob. And you, the other team. So the, the guy, one side, the King of the courts and the other are the queen. And you want to win that you want to win the King of the court. I just think some of this stuff they're doing is pretty neat and it's good practice. Yeah, no, no doubt. I I'm looking forward to, well, I'm going to be working at the Pickler starting on the 19th. Yeah. Yeah. You're that's awesome. But I'm, I'm excited to get there and just be a part of everything. It's going to be so much fun. I think the people that are paying the hundred to $150 a month are getting, going to play. Like you have to get yourself, if you want to play, you better get yourself signed up because it's zero. Yeah. So, yeah. So yeah. It's going to be, it's going to be interesting. I can't wait to see what the play level is at this one. Yeah. You're out South. I mean, I, I find, I don't know why either too, when I come play South by you at the Epic, you know, Epic, I find there's a lot more better players than I play up North. I don't know why. I mean, I don't know why either. It's weird. I don't know. I mean, it's just probably different players. It probably is, but it's just like when we travel, right? It's a total different play when you travel. And I've heard that there's going to be an ACE pickleball club opening up. That's that way as well. Yeah. There's, we're going to, I, it's crazy to think how many pickleball places are opening can that, but if you're saying we're growing at what, 315% in three years, it's over a hundred percent a year. That's nuts, which is, I love it. I mean, we're here doing a podcast, so I mean, this is our deal, but I feel it. I feel it from when I started almost four years ago to what, how much it's advanced just here in Colorado. Well, just think about this, right? In the next four or five months, what's opening up, you have pickler in Aurora. You're going to have pickler in cherry Creek. You're going to have ACE pickleball club. You're going to have a third shot pickleball club, and you're going to have chicken and pickle, and you're going to have relish. Oh, really? Is that the one in Longmont? It's like 26 courts or something like that. It's Sam's club. It's going to be like the market's going to explode. And I still think there's room for everybody. I really do. I don't, I think it's, I think, well, especially here because of the snow and the, and the cold weather and the wind, we actually get a lot more wind than I realized. Well, and think about, think about the big gyms. I mean, you're in, you didn't even say lifetime. Yeah. Well, that's, that's, that's the people that got the black card, you know, that you're paying 350 a month to be a pickleball player. Right. But most of their courts are just put over other, yeah. An old basketball floor. Yeah. But I mean, but those are still, I mean, courts all over town. True. There's they're everywhere and not counting. We didn't even talk about where pickleball really was starting on the outside, the outside courts. And there's, there's going to be opening up 19 my, my house. And I hear in Denver, I think there's, this is, there's 15 or 19 opening up here in Denver, right here up by a rare campus. Oh, no kidding. Yeah. There's, there's outdoor courts. So we have to find out. So we can go out there and meet those people and they're going to open up eight in my neighborhood. This is nuts. Yeah. And then we didn't even say rec centers. And, but you know what? We can pass on those. Those are, come on. If I had to play at a rec center or had to like cut a piece of skin off, I'd cut a piece of skin. Yeah. It's a different play. You have to like it. I mean, that's where I, that's how I learned. I did too. It's where I started. I learned in Alaska and it was obviously during the winter time, there is no outdoor. No, you're not playing out. So I played indoors from January to May and that's how I got involved with pickleball. And that's how I learned. Well, I wouldn't say I learned to play. I learned the rules and I think I learned to play in St. Louis, but I think there's going to be more pickleballs than gyms. And there's a lot of gyms. I mean, think about Vasa choose. Yeah. We have kind of fitness. We have a, what's the old, old, old school one, 24 hour fitness, 24 hour fitness or that one golds golds. I mean, there's gyms everywhere. They just opened a new one downtown. That's not including the mom and pops. No, not including the mom and pops. But I think that pickleball is literally going to have more pickleball courts than there are gyms. Absolutely. But we're okay with that. I mean, we are, we love it. The more places to play, the more people we get to meet and I'll play at every single one of them. Absolutely. Absolutely. So one thing I want to do is a shout out. I know we have a, we're at 14 episodes, 14 episodes, 14 episodes, and we are growing daily, weekly, and monthly. And we want to thank all of you for listening to us. Um, we're just looking for more interaction with you. Um, we are getting some great people to send some, uh, emails and direct messages through Instagram. Keep them coming. We love to hear from you. We really do. And, and, uh, I think somebody, somebody, you know, we're sending out some prizes for those people that are doing that. Yeah. So you might, or you might just get a picture of us. You can hang it in here. You can put it in your gym bag. I'd be, I'd be, I'd stop listening. That's my prize. Come on. Come on. Well, since what you wrote on our, on our, uh, our Instagram might be a picture of the, not the front side of us, but anyway, just joking. But we want to thank you for that. And all the followers. And, um, we hope we're giving you something great to listen to. Yeah, absolutely. And so some of the things that we have coming up as a podcast, um, the closest thing that we have, the nearest thing in the future is that Pickler on April 19th, opening up grand opening. We're going to a groundbreaking on the 23rd, Fort Collins. Yes. Um, I think in June and we're hoping in, uh, isn't June the 18th RMC. Uh, that's going to be a fun one there. That's a big one guys. Come see us. We'll have a booth out there. We'll be doing a podcast out there. Yeah. There's a thousand plus people that are going to be out at this event. More than likely. Yeah. So, and, uh, good people. We, we really liked the guy that's putting this on. I like him anyway. Yeah. Yeah. Ricky, Ricky, Ricky, when you get to me, Ricky, Ricky's got some energy at tricky Ricky Santo on Instagram. Check him out. Fun to play too. He's a, he's a, he's a ball of fire. Check out the RMC, uh, the Rocky mountain championships. Oh yeah. And also check out the CPA, the Colorado Pickleball Association. Absolutely. Yeah. So good people. Yeah. We, I mean, it's amazing. The doors that are opening for us, you know, and we're just having fun. I mean, we're, we're not out there knocking these doors. These are doors are finding us. Yeah, absolutely. And you know, we're just, we're just having a really good time doing all this stuff and we hope you're enjoying listening. We hope that, you know, you'll reach out and talk to us. What do you want to hear about? What do you want to talk about? What do you want to, where do you want to go? The whole thing. You can email us. Our emails are Mike at pickleballersnextdoor.com or Greg at dot or Greg at pickleballers.com. Greg at pickleballersnextdoor.com. Yeah. So the medicine's still kicking in. Yeah. My, uh, my brain doesn't work as fast as my mouth. It's okay. It's okay. And then you can go and, you know, follow us on Instagram and tick tock. We're on there as well. Pickleballers next door. And I think tick tock is the pickleballers next door. And if you Google us, just Google us, Google us. I think we're the only thing that comes up. All kinds of fun stuff. But yeah, you're, um, we're hoping to start doing a little video here soon. That'll be fun. You actually get to see our, our, our mugs and then we'll be doing some live stuff too. So, uh, he said our mugs and I pointed to the, we have these mugs. It says big energy. And I think it holds like 64 ounces. If you can drink a cup of coffee, you're going to have probably a bad day. Well, it'll be a jittery day, jittery day. But, uh, I, I'm just excited. So yeah, we have a bunch of good stuff going on. Um, you know, today we just wanted to kind of talk and just kind of shoot the breeze. But mostly we, the big thing, I guess it's just the, you know, thanks for helping us grow. Absolutely. So I went out to the Colorado champions cup. Oh yeah. Wow. Okay. All right. So our friend Devin gold, uh, great guy at dink like Devin or, um, it's the Denver pickleball, uh, Denver pickleball club, both on Instagram. Check them out. He has a ton of events. He has a ton of events and really great play. But this, uh, tournament he's holding, it's that third shot in wheat Ridge, um, over 350 participants. That's a good time. Yeah. And I went there and yesterday and watched, it was mixed. It was the mixed day and there was some really good play out there. Yeah. Really good play out there. Wow. Yeah. That's a good one. He does. He does a good job where we need to, uh, we need to do a he said is to have call him anytime and we could go do a tournament with him. So, yeah. So we need to do a podcast that get him back on. He's been on one of our shows. Yeah. I mean, um, also, you know, that we're going to be at the pickler on the April the 19th for the grand opening. Come out and see us, please come see us. Um, we're going to figure out a word that if you say to us, we'll give you a shirt. The first five people to say this to us, we'll get a shirt. That'd be great. So we'll, we'll figure a word out. We'll, we'll give it to you at the end of the podcast. Um, and then when you say it to us, we'll get you a shirt, get you a shirt. Absolutely. So yeah, please come out. I mean, uh, if you haven't been to a pickler, uh, it's a beautiful place. They put some good money into these places. It's a, it's a really nice place. And this is actually a freestanding building. It's not attached to anything. So it's nice. Yeah. These are nice. They, they do it right. I have to agree. I don't mind playing there. It's always air conditioned. The colors are nice. So yeah. And you can see the ball, which is really nice. The little black walls in the ceiling, just don't wear a black shirt or wear a black shirt. You kind of blend in, but they do a great job. Um, you know, you know, we're not partial to anybody, but we do definitely, uh, we seem to be, uh, they're just growing. I mean, we're just, the only reason we're talking more about it because they are actually doing a lot of, uh, they have a lot of potential here in Colorado and all over the United States. Yeah. Just here in Colorado. Yeah. So, and the one we're doing the groundbreaking, they're actually building the whole thing from scratch up. It'll be the first one in Colorado built from the ground up. So I can't wait to see that one. That'll be really nice. Yeah. And then also with the RMC, right, we have the one at Clement in June. Yeah. We have one in grand junction and then we'll have one in steamboat. So come out and check it out. We'll be at all of them. Yeah. Come check it out. It'll be great. Come see us. There's still spots for the tournament too. So actually get in there and get signed up. We're going to have some great vendors out there. Not just us. They're going to have great vendors, but we'll be there. It'll be Tom pickleball.com. Go check them out. Sign up, register. We got some friends there that you'll, that's one of our sponsors there. A sweet sip is going to be out there directly across from us. And we have, we're, we're collaborating on some things. So hopefully we'll have something and you can check that out at the RMC. Could have a surprise. Could have a surprise. Good. Yeah. And another good group of people. So yeah, definitely. If you want a good drink, they have a CBD drink. That's it's really good. Yeah. Kind of focus, especially if you're doing a tournament takes the edge off, takes that anxiety edge off. Yeah. I need to do about two of them, which is great, which is great for a tournament. Cause like, you know, you have those first, first game jitters. Yeah. Don't ever drink caffeine. No, definitely. Definitely ease off the caffeine. I did that. I didn't sleep really well and went to play a big tournament for a lifetime. And, uh, I thought I'd just get amped up and get a couple of those extra double shots. Oh, I wasn't there. Like the brain and body was not working together. Your body was there, but your brain was in the clouds. I was horrible. Your brain was running faster than your body. I lost 11 out of 12 games. My poor partner and I just won gold against the guy that was my partner. It was terrible. So that tells him that your partner carried you. Yeah. Yeah, that wasn't good. So tell me Mike, when you're getting ready for a tournament, what do you do to prepare? You know, one is, you know, try to get that week. I try to whoever, if I can, if I'm whoever I'm playing with, try to get a little practice in with them. You know, it's, it's super important that, you know, I've been to tournaments and I'm sure you have where you show up and you don't know who you're playing. You know, that's a crazy, you know what I mean? Who you're playing or who you're playing with. So you just travel or you go and your partner got sick or something and you've got it. You just got an instant partner. That's crazy because it really makes it difficult. So it's super important to get to know your partners. There's just people you can't play with. Absolutely. I, there's, I have, there's one person like that. Um, Mark Nelson. Um, I don't care. He's good. I'm good. We get together and we saw, it's just like we'll play. And I think, honestly, I think we've won two games out of like 20 when we played together and we barely score more than five points a game. It's insane. Yeah, it's crazy. But you know, you separate us and all of a sudden we're monsters. Yeah, it's really weird. Well, I did a tournament too. It was, I think it was the Rocky mountain, one of them. And, um, the guy, he just flew in, he needed a partner. I signed up last minute. This is a couple of years ago. So I was kind of newer. I was a three Oh playing at three Oh level at that time. And they, uh, he's left-handed, but I was so nervous. So getting into the tournament that I'm wondering why these balls are driving down the center. We're like, you didn't realize he was left-handed yet. We're not stacking. And at that time I probably didn't really understand stacking as well as I do now. Right. And still gets confusing to me. Don't you ever, you know? Yeah. I mean, now that I know odd and even that helps a lot. It kind of, once you know who you are, you kind of know where you need to be. So speaking of stacking, I played in, um, someone, so my friend called me, it was very last minute. Hey, one guy dropped out. Can you play? Yes. When now? And so like, I'm like, all right, cool. I haul ass over. I get there and the woman I'm going to play with, she wants to stack and I'm fine. I'm fine with that. Yeah. But we're only stacking on the serve. Oh, that was really weird. But okay. But that, that was weird. And we only stacked on the serve. Otherwise we didn't stack, which was really weird to me. But yeah, I really like when you're doing the hand signal switching at the line, you know, that's fun. Yeah. Um, if you watch the pros, I mean, if it's, especially if it's mix, you always watch the guy on the girl and girl are sides on angle to angle and guy or guy. Yeah. So guys usually on the left. Yeah. Usually on the left. But like I said, um, so when I, back to what you were saying, I got off on a tangent there, but, but I usually try to practice with the person I'm going to play with. I recommend that. Don't just show up to a tournament. Somebody you've never played with. It's not a good idea. You can do it. Sometimes it works. I won a gold with another lady that came in from Arizona and we won gold. So I mean, I, so I, a week out when I'm playing and I'm going to be in a tournament, I try to reel it in. I try to go like 75% for the rest of the week. So when I get into the tournament, I'm not trying to like overthink it, rip the ball too hard. I'm just going 75% and from that 75% your adrenaline is going to be jumping anyway. So like 85% and still not a hundred percent or 180%, which I've done, which is, it's not good. Yeah, no, it's not good. The other thing I recommend too, is try to find someone that's equal to what, how you play. Um, I know when I play you, I get nervous. You're a little better player than me. So I start trying so hard that I goof up. I start doing like weird things with my paddle. I just, here, I'll go play, win 10 games in a row. I'll come play with you. And I can't, you're like, what are you doing, Mike? I mean, you're getting me killed. So, you know, again, try to play with a level that you're playing with too. That helps communicate. I mean, I don't have any times I've went and played and you're both just whacking the ball. It's like you're swinging at flies. You want to know what's real funny is I am really bad at saying yours, mine. I, cause I just am quiet on the court when I'm actually playing. Like I love to do a little talking like, you know, a little trash talk. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's fine. But I mean, it's with friends. I'll do a little trash talk and whatever. But when I'm actually playing, I am very silent. You are, you are pretty quiet. Yeah. And I'm, I get, when I get into the competitive mode, I get even quieter. Oh, cause you're the quiet killer. What's your, well, let's, again, let's tell what's your nickname. You're what's your license plate. My name, my name, my name's Greg. It's not on the court. It's the body bagger. Well, I mean, okay. So I had five in that open play. Oh, okay. Oops. Someone asked me, are you hunting? Are you hunting? Like, do you hunt for body bags? And I was like, no, I don't hunt for body bags. They just happened for some weird reason. But I've watched you and I've played with you enough now that you, you can see that the person's went blank over there. I really think that you have this, like, once you're like this radar kicks in, in your eyes, it's common. Or once it's in your system, like it's like, it's there. You want to know what's real funny, Mike? I don't think about it. Really? I've never thought about, I need to get a body bag. Cause the minute I do that, you know, I hit the back fence and they see it coming. I don't think about it. It just happens. And it's so weird that it happens frequently. I'm telling you. I know. Cause I've been on the other side a few times and it's fun. I mean, again, he's not doing this to, uh, to do it to like, like, Oh, look at me. He doesn't have a little notch on his belt that he's not, he's doing it for fun. And most of the time it's just a tap. He can give it to you. Good. If he wants, but usually it's, if you're angering him, maybe, but the other one I can't, that drives me nuts when I'm a partner is it's yours. Like tells me it's my ball. Like, I don't know, like I'm not playing in the court. Yeah. No, I'm going to tell you which, what I, what I don't like is when any ball, your partner goes, it's in. Well, okay. No shit. Yeah, no, it drives me nuts. I tell me that's my ball is yours. Okay. It actually just startles me. And also I think when you're bigger guys, we're big guys. I kind of wait, I take my time. So I'm not that rusher. I take my time. I'm kind of knowing now that I'm getting to be a better player. I'm thinking about where I'm putting the ball. Now I'm not just whacking a ball. It's not whack them all. It's not wacko. It's not wacko pickleball. It's it's you kind of think about who's doing what and where they're at. You're going to place it placement over power. Exactly. That's the guy's going to win. Go play somebody that's a good, that can place a ball. You're going to struggle with them. If you're, especially even a banger, go even a banger playing with something that's going to place in a ball will not have a good, will not have a good outcome. No. Um, I always worry about, you know, when you pull someone off the court and they return it and the court's wide open and all you have to do is just put it back through the court. I always worry about overshooting the court. Oh, yeah. And I do it too. I have a faint. My famous shot is that you guys, if you're not moving and you got that big hole between the two of you, one's too far back and one's in the center. I just shoot that down at center gap and they get, I do it so light makes them almost embarrassed because I hit it so soft and it just goes right between. And then they're both looking at each other like, was that mine? Yours? That's, that's probably my shot if I have a shot. So I was playing this, uh, mixed couple, this mixed group. Um, when they called me in to play for them on the last minute and one, the guy's a lefty, the woman's a righty and they stack cause he's a lefty. And, um, I, they were kind of split and I put it up high, like shoulder level height, but like change up, like a change up. And they had a hard time with that ball. They had a hard time with that ball. Like they both swung at it and they, and it went straight into the ground. I was just, I was just laughing. Strike three. Yeah, it's a, but yeah, that's, those are some of the things that I recommend and you probably recommend, but also, you know, hydrate, keep calm. The more this is one of the, if I play golf a little bit too, not a good golfer. Usually I play by myself cause I'm in over. But when I play golf, it's the same thing. When you let this game get in your head, you better just pack up. You better go home. It's done. You have to reset yourself. Um, I'm sorry, Mike, I'm getting distracted. So we're on 16th street mall and there's a guy out front out in the, on the mall playing, playing the saxophone. He's really good. But there's this guy, I don't know what he's on, but he's like raving next to him. It's so funny. This guy's playing like jazz and this guy's raving next to him smoking a cigarette, smoking a cigarette, raving. I just bow to him. Yeah. Yeah. It's fun here. If you ever get to come down and visit us, which we don't mind, we'll love you. Have you had our show? Come on down. We're on 16th street and, and uh, and 16th street mall in Denver, right on the mall. Yeah. Um, in between Champa and 30, uh, Champa and Curtis, 30 up to 36,000 people per day walk through this one section of the mall. So it gets pretty crowded. We get to see some pretty crazy stuff. You get to see some fun stuff. Yeah. Yeah. But you guys should come by sometime. We're open. We have a court here too. If you ever want to just play us, we come up here and have some fun too. So we have our own court, personal court that we can use. Absolutely. But, uh, yeah. So, I mean, all those, those are the things in my world. I think everybody has their own little spiffs to do to get ready, but hydrate, good sleep, talk to your partner, you know, don't have, I get what you say. Cause I don't always talk really loud either. Cause I don't want to get my, you know, let, like I said, the worst thing really loud. I don't talk at all. You don't talk at all. Yeah. You're, you're pretty quiet, but you're on, you know, you're good. You're good. You're fun to play with though. Oh, thank you. Yeah. You're fun to play with too. I do. I just get grumpy. Yeah. I get in my head cause I want to do, I don't want to let you down. Even if we're just playing fun, I just do. I it's crazy, but I want to play. I get intimidated and I don't know why I just do. And then once I get there in my head, I start doing all, I get overthinking every shot. I understand that. I understand that there's a person here in Denver that I'm the same with. Yeah. You, that you do go play. And I, anytime I play with this person, I always kind of lose your mind. Crap the bed and you're trying. So it's like, it's the best play you could ever play is when you're relaxed and having a fun time. Absolutely. It really is. And that's why you should drink a sweet sip. Sweet sip. Yeah. That'll, that'll take that edge right off. Get a little ass. It's really good. It is. We say that, but their, their slogan is that it's, it's such a fun company. We're always joking about it. But, um, we'd like to thank you for tuning in today. Um, it was just kind of us chopping it up and we just like, yeah, we just, this is us. We want you to get to, you know, sometimes it's nice to have somebody on our podcast, but sometimes you got to get in and get to know these guys. You're going to see a lot of us. There's going to be these, uh, these, these pictures of us places. And that'll be another place that we'll have prizes. And when you see us and you, you, uh, you shoot a picture of it and send it to us or something, there's going to be some prizes. Yeah. We'll try and figure out something. Yeah. Yeah. But, um, again, like to thank you for tuning in. Uh, we'd like to thank Mike Monroe for being such a great guy and editing our stuff for us, especially when we do it so late notice. Yup. But we, without him, we'd be, it wouldn't be a good, we'd be in the mud. It'd be, it'd be uglier than what it is. Yeah, no, he's, it's awesome. So, so check him out on Instagram, Mike dot Monroe, M H Y K. And then he has a band called suicide cages. And hopefully, you know, I think it'd be fun to get him to do a song for one of our openings. I would really like it. That would be really awesome. Yeah. That'd be fun. We'll talk to him about that. Yeah. Well, anyway, guys, I'm out and I'm so glad that you were listening to us and keep on listening to us and let us know what we can do to make it better. Yup. I feel the same way. So big dink energy. That's going to be the word, the words, or the phrase you're going to say to us, April the 19th at the Pickler. If the first five people will get a shirt, get a shirt. Come on. Remember that. All right. There might be some clues there too. So look around and forget. All right. We'll see you on the 19th.
