Thank you for tuning in. I'm Greg. I'm Mike. And we are the pickleballers next door. We are for the Joes and not the pros. Your courts are court. All right. We have J.P. Parker here. J.P. the main man. Yes. The owner of this Aurora pickler. What a place. What a place. Yeah. Wow. How's it going J.P. It is going. I honestly was nervous that I didn't know if people were going to show up. But apparently a couple of people like me I guess. I like you a lot. Maybe I'm moving here. I can't move. I'm kind of on the fence right now. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. OK. No I'm kidding. Obviously I'm kidding. I am. I don't know how to describe the feeling. I'm. Well I can see it on your face. Yeah. I'm blessed. Yeah. I'm just so it's amazing. You deserve this so much. You work so hard in this pickleball world. Thank you. This is you. Thank you man. Yeah. I appreciate that. Yeah. No man. Congratulations man. I'm happy for you for real. Thank you. And thank you guys for all your all your help. Well you get out. We're all on this ride together. We are definitely. And I have never seen. I'm going to call it a permagran. That's what it feels like. Yeah. I feel like my facial muscles are getting like cramping. You have to go to a therapist just to get them kind of straightened back down. It might be the Botox. Permagran. Permagran or shit eating grin. Yeah. Whatever. Yeah. You can you can see it's a joy on your face. Yeah. Definitely. I'm just so happy for you. Really. This place has come a long way in four days. Yeah. I know. I know. I yeah. I was a little. I wouldn't say worried. I was kind of worried. I was worried. Understandable. We all were. But I will say like dude shout out to so many people that like came out to help us. It was amazing. I mean you were here. My friend Rachel was here for like so many hours yesterday just folding clothes like literally doing anything and everything. So shout out to Rachel. You're a rock star. Literally everyone. Everyone has been so incredible. You got it. You've got a great team too. I mean I was here when you're kind of given the hello and what you're doing. Yeah. You got a great team you're building. And you know what. That's all like Chelsea. My wife Chelsea is amazing. She she works in HR. So you know it's she she did a lot of the hiring. I knew a lot of the people but she did a lot of the hiring and she's just put together such an incredible team. So what's the saying a good woman makes a good man. She's amazing. We'll have to get her on as well. Oh yeah. You should. You should. She's way cooler than me. Probably better at pickleball too. Come on. Come on. If you haven't seen last night. So her and her brother were here after like we're zombies from working all day but they were hitting a couple balls and her brother's recently gotten gotten into pickleball. He lives in San Diego. So shout out to Nick and the little Italy pickleball club out there in San Diego. Little Italy huh. I think that's what it's called. Yeah. Little Italy. But yeah she she body bagged him dude with a backhand. She's at the club. One up and that's my girl. I happen to be videoing that that as it happens. So it's on my Instagram. I saw it. I saw it and I liked it. That's a bag. That's a bag. Heck yeah. We know somebody that does that too right here. Yeah. Oh yeah. I mean that's your license plate bro. It is. It is. I love it. Yeah. Awesome. Well JP man we're so happy for you. We are. Congratulations. I know I'm going to be here probably most of the rest of my life. You're going to. Yeah for sure. For sure. You're going to think I'm family. I mean you're going to start inviting us over. I mean you pretty pretty much are. I think I think I'm coming over for Thanksgiving. Heck yeah. No I just want to say so Pickler Aurora come out and see us. Our memberships are still on sale discounted today and I'm so stoked for the pickleball community in this area. I came up in this area so just thank you to everybody that had patience and believed in me and helped me on my pickleball journey. I wouldn't be here without without any of you guys. So thank you so much. And our hours are incredible. We're going to be open at 6 a.m. We're going to close at 11 p.m. and then Friday and Saturday we'll be open till midnight. Oh yeah. And you already know you already know that this is going to be the official home of minor league pickleball. Heck yeah. Oh yeah. And we'll be here for those as well. Shout out to Duper baby. Hell yeah. And then I know we have to schedule something with you and Duper to talk. Yeah. Yeah. We'll get we'll get Ryan on here from Duper and we'll we'll have some Duper chats. It's interesting. I mean a lot of the things that happen at the Pickler are Duper faced focused. Sorry. And it's so we've got to get the information out. It's it is a learning curve for everybody but I think we're just providing a lot of education in that sense and I think it's it's going to be crucial for the growth of pickleball in our community. It absolutely is. And you're the Duper man. We get a lot of people want to meet you. I feel like they should pay me. Duper I'll do anything for free. You guys are awesome. And I appreciate you for so much. I think having a show explaining Duper and all that stuff would be great. Yeah I would love to. I would love to. A lot of it is as people just don't know. So if we can we can spread the word and educate. I mean that's that's the battle. Right. And if you're in the Aurora area come to the Pickler there's a Duper class. Oh dude thank you. Yeah. So I teach a Duper class which is a classroom session educational piece about Duper for 30 minutes. And if you don't have a Duper rating I can provide you with a Duper rating. And then the second hour of that class is actually on the court video recorded for Duper. And I turn it into like a coaching session as well. I've created this program. I created this program in January in Thornton and it's kind of taken off. I don't remember if I talked about it before. It's taken off. It's getting national recognition. They just wrote an article about it. So. Oh man. And I took the class. It was actually incredible. You did. Yeah you did. I did the class. Yeah yeah yeah. And it was incredible. It's just so much information that you just don't know. You just don't know. It's not just about score. It's not just about how who you are. There's a lot more that goes into Duper. Absolutely. And I think one of the important things that I do after is you know on that that session the video recorded session where I'm assessing the gameplay. I also mix in some coaching in there. Oh yeah. Yeah. You get a big a big bang for your buck. And one of one of the most important things that no one else is doing here is if you're a member of the Pickler what I'm doing is let's say that your Duper is a 3-2 but you're actually playing at the 4-0 level. If you take my assessment class I assess your skill level and if I deem that it's at the 4-0 level or maybe it's at the 4-5 level I create a waiver system for our Picklers here in Colorado that allows you to play at that level since everything's Duper capped here. Oh yeah. So regardless of your level right like that's what we had to do for you. Yeah I mean I was at a 3-2 and and I couldn't play anything so it was horrible and this happened because other people didn't know how to run Duper. Right. And I hate to say that I'm not gonna mention names but they didn't run it properly and so you were duped. You were duped. You got duped. You got duped. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. If you want competitive play. If you want to get better at pickleball. If you love pickleball. Come see me. I've been trying to get some private lessons and with all this opening. Yeah he can't even see straight. Guys I love coaching pickleball. I love pickleball so much and I have had no time. I've had to turn I've had to turn people away but I will say we have an incredible staff of coaches here at Thornton and in Loveland and I will I will get you a coach that's probably better than me. I mean there are there are tons of coaches that are better than me. I will point you in the right direction but yes thank you for that. I appreciate it. No problem. Well thank you again and what a day here. It's just crowd. I mean you can't even see. What a day. I mean I'm like dude my cup is is so full. Like I'm stoked. It's overflowing. It's overflowing. The stoke is real. Here's the deal. This pickleball is incredible and if you don't play pickleball come check it out. We've got free intro to pickleball classes. Come see me. I will it will change things for you. It'll change your life. Yeah it'll change your life and the only thing you have to be careful with it might over change your life. It might over change your life. Hey you might start shedding pounds. You might start making friends. You might start gaining Instagram followers. You might have fun. You might have fun. No way. Smile. We can't have fun and smile. And I'm working here. I can't smile and have fun at work. No that's forbidden. Hey I'm telling Kyle Yates is walking by me right now. Kyle Yates just inducted into the pickleball hall of fame. That's the kind of energy we're bringing. Oh yeah. All right guys I'm going to jump off here and go walk around but I just want to say thank you so much. I appreciate you guys and we're going to the moon baby. All right. Congratulations. All right. Thanks guys. Hey how you doing. Good. How are you guys doing today. What do you think. Very exciting and it should be an amazing facility and excited to come play. Oh I live in the area. Yeah I live in Centennial. OK. Oh yeah. So we'll see here a lot. A lot. A lot. I'm about 15 minutes away. So I'll be here a lot. Also this is your new home. It's my new home. Home away from home. Yes. Isn't this nice. It's unbelievable and it's beautiful. And they did an amazing job. That's what I'm saying. I mean and they just the people here to JP. We couldn't even say you know nothing more about how great of an owner Kyle Yates. I mean what another guy. You know you've got a hall of famer here. Amazing amazing. And then he's here in Colorado as well. Yeah he is. Yeah. So just excited excited to be here. It's fun play my first game already. Awesome. Got an ace first. Oh there you go. There we go. Yeah that's how you do it. Can't lose your inaugural game. So no. So true. So true. Yeah. But so we'll see you around here a lot. Yeah. Thanks for supporting us. We really appreciate it. Yeah. It was great seeing you and good luck with everything. And see you out on the court. Yeah. See you there. All right. Mike check 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2. How you doing today. That's sultry radio voice. I am. Yeah. Me too. That's what I keep saying. That's what I keep telling Mike. This is amazing. Wow. Isn't it. Isn't it. Wow. You haven't seen it since it's been done. Caucasian people together. Very. Right. This is great dude. I love it. All right. So this is Ryan. He's a staff member here at the Pickler Aurora. I love it. And he hasn't seen it finished. I have not. And what's your initial thoughts man. My initial thought is I have been missing out on the cult phenomenon that is pickleball mania. I kick myself because I had known about the sport for a very long time. And I told myself for years this is what old people do. Don't do it. Don't do it. And then my wife was like hey dude you're old. This is your people. And I was like no. I'm like you know what. It kind of is. Oh yeah. No this is awesome to see. Does your wife play casually. Yeah. OK. Yeah. She doesn't have the competitive bone. So she gets it around and doesn't keep track of scores. That's my wife. Yeah. Yeah. It's not conducive to how I play. But yeah she loves it. And I have to introduce you to someone later on about that court. Oh is that a good thing or a bad thing. Good thing. Oh done. You know that roll away court. Oh yeah. I knew that. Yeah. There we go. I do need that. Yes. Because once you get it I'm coming over. We're playing. Dude listen once you when I once I get it I'm charging five bucks a head. It's a two in one out. It's going to be a good time. Oh yeah. I like it. Like it. So did you see the place when they started. Like before they like when they broke ground in here. Oh I designed every single facet of the house. Oh no. Oh no. He's talking about the pickleball here. Oh no. Well I mean like the building was already here but like no. Yeah. In January I came by and I was like I think this is where they're doing it. But I looked in the window and they had not done anything. There was no paint on the walls. No. I was like there's no way they're going to. It's impossible. Wow. Now they hired like every human being that does construction in America. Here we are today. And here we are. Here we are. Yeah. Ryan thank you so much for being on. Thank you. Thank you. No listen I appreciate this and more of a question for you guys. I'm guessing often no one asks the podcasters a question. I have a podcaster question. Let's do it. What made you get behind the microphone. I'm genuinely curious. I can tell you on my end is that I wanted to meet more people and pickleball. So this gives this opens up the world to everybody like we could talk. We get to talk to every walk life all over the world. So it's incredible. So it just gives us that outreach that you can only get at a pickleball court which is awesome. But we get to talk to people all over the world. We have downloads and from Finland. Yeah. I haven't learned how to speak Finland. Yeah. Finland did the finisher like they're hardcore. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Shit man. Yeah. We're good. So that's where we're at where we get a boo. We get to bring all this love all over the world. Hey listen I feel honored and somewhat. It's a privilege to to to carry the badge of the pickleball podcast on and I check the box of like a little bit of varsity which has got kind of neat. I appreciate that. No no no. Yeah. Yeah. No. Hey. And more importantly keep spreading the news about this sport because I think that a lot of people still don't understand that this is not just for retirees. It really is. There are children here. There's 21 year old people here. It's great. I love it. It's only getting bigger. It's only getting more popular bigger. And it's an escape. Yeah. No leave the world. Listen I hate my job. I get here I turn off the work mode and I'm like no one's going to call me between the hours of however long I can stay here. Right. So I read a statistic statistic over the past three years. Pickleball has grown three hundred and 15 percent. Crazy. She's crazy. You can literally make pickleball underwear and become a millionaire. No. No. My brain was going like how do I find a way to buy like stocking. How do I find a way to monetize. Just make pickleball underwear. You had done done. All right. I got to go buy some people. Yeah. I hope you guys have a phenomenal afternoon. You too. Most importantly find the cutest girls here and just make sure they like send them to Ryan. Well after you're done with them. That sounds weird. I'll take it. That sounds bad. That's not real. Before before before you're done with them. Let me get my my my pound of flesh in proverbially and like physically. But hey you guys are freaking awesome. Thank you. Thanks Ryan. Thank you. Love it. And the big dick energy cup is like oh yeah. That's that's massive. Now you know what's funny. When we get on the court I'm going to guess you guys aren't going to dink at all. Like no. He's like Mike Mike. Yeah. Yeah. All right. You'll get right into your chest. I feel like that's not really what a dink is. No no no. I will dink but I will also put it in your chest. Yeah. Thanks Ryan. Thank you Ryan. So much. All right. So we're back. I'm sorry. I don't know your name. Steve. Hey. Back with Steve. What's up. What's happening guys. How you doing. What's your initial thought man. I love it. This place is amazing. And you live out here right in this area. Yep. I live Bob up seven eight minutes away. This is your home. This is your new home sweet home. Yeah man. Yeah. I'm excited. Aurora's needed something like this. Oh for a while. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. That's awesome. So we're going to see here a lot right. You'll see you here a lot. Absolutely. Yeah. One is a good player. A lot of fun to play with. I've had every time I've ever had to play with you. It's a lot of fun. Always been some great competition. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. So I. Yeah I think I body bagged him already once. Oh yeah. You did. That's how they remember you. That's how he has to get you to remember. I know he's got an amazing serve. Oh yeah. Oh my gosh. Thank you sir. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I am today. I got to play a little. I'm not playing today. I got roped in to go and have to go to work today. Oh man. I didn't. To be honest I didn't know we were playing today. Oh yeah. Well we're open tomorrow. I'll be here tomorrow. Awesome. There we go. I'll be here four o'clock. Nice. Awesome. Well thank you for being on. We really appreciate it. Can't wait to play. Exciting man. I'm very very excited. Good. Good. We're glad everyone seems to be really excited for this spot. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We'll be seeing you here. Great setup guys. Thank you. Have a good day. All right. All right. All right. Here we have here a sweet sip. Whoop whoop. Chris and Dave. Hi guys. How are you. We're doing amazing. Oh my gosh. What do you think. Great event. Right. I love it. And you guys are members of the pickler now. Yeah. Oh yeah. Welcome to the addiction. Welcome to the addiction. You're going to sell your cars. Get rid of your house. I mean everything's gone. Oh yeah. It's already done. Yeah. Yeah. We're going to learn. We're going to find that. Yeah. Now we'll finally learn. We're going to see what happens. You're going to find that we're all in. Yeah. Yeah. So they own a sweet sip. It's the CBD mood enhancing drink. It's a good mood enhancer. It's a great mood enhancer. A lot of good ass. If you need to go to a tournament and you have a little bit of anxiety you just pop a can and your anxiety kind of dissipates a calming drink. It just helps you you know not feel so nervous when you're ready to start your game. Yeah. It takes away those pregame jitters. Yeah. We can't keep them in our studio. Everybody walks in. They'll drink one. Now they come back in the fridge just opens and they're just. I know I got to know you guys. Is that a. Everyone's looking for some. Yeah. And then we have some stuff that we're collaborating on hopefully. Oh yeah. You know you know at some point. Yeah. You guys tuned on this. Yeah definitely. You guys will check it out. You guys are going to love it. I don't know. Yeah. I do. I think we're going to be great. We just can't wait to play some pickleball with you now that we're. You know these are our sponsors. They're awesome. They've been here since day one with us. They're incredible people. Some bad ass people. Bad bad ass product. We think that you guys are some bad. Well I'm sorry not bad ass the sweet ass. Oh that's right. Dave did say you guys have sweet asses. But well I mean sorry. Oh I got a little. It doesn't bother me. Yeah. Sorry Dave. So Dave what's your initial thoughts on this place. Oh it's amazing. You walk in the door. You're kind of take a takes your breath away the black and then you see the courts the lit the music the activity. It's it's a lot all at once. Yeah. It's very inspiring to get out there and get going. Yeah. He went back. He went back out to his car and he couldn't get back in the line around the building. Yeah. There is a line. Well I mean what do you know the pickle are next door though. There's some privileges. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. If you guys are learning to play pickleball this is the spot. This is this is the spot. Yes. So we'll tell you because you know I'm uncoordinated. We'll see how this goes. But I'm excited to play it. Heck yeah. Oh yeah. Awesome. You were learning the nomenclature this morning weren't you. Oh so we were listening to the terms. You guys are awesome. Thank you. You guys did a great job. That helps beginners. There's a lot of terms. Right. You can't speak the language. I mean you can't. Yeah. You can't battle. Yeah. Honestly I think I would want to do the dirty dink. Oh. And you're going to do the dirty dink or some earnings or some bird some bird some earnings. Yeah. Some ATPs. We'll get them all. And what's the now nasty nasty. That's one of his mother's nasty. Nelson is when you try and hit the guy that's forward on the serve. Yeah. Yeah. OK. I'll learn that. Yeah. Yeah. You'll you'll probably if you're playing me you'll probably be on the be on the receiving end of it. And I heard that you my bag bag. Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. We will. Yeah. I got to wear glasses. Well OK. Well I need to have armor first. We'll put you. We'll put you in the in the club. OK. Yeah. Oh well maybe bubble wrap or something. First it's just a little ball. It's a little ball. It doesn't hurt that bad. It's a lot of fun. It does. Yeah right. All right. Well thank you for being on. Thank you. We look forward to doing more things with you guys. Yeah. Thanks for all your support. We really appreciate. Well we thank you guys too. Absolutely. Love you guys. Love you guys too. Thank you. All right. We're here with Andrew. Welcome to the pickler man. What's your first impression of this place. Oh man it's awesome. I mean I've been to the one in the Thornton location and I mean this the standard of indoor pickleball is just raised up. I'm telling you I'm telling you isn't it. I swear this one looks a little bit even something bright about it. I don't know what it is. Do you notice that. Yeah. I mean you know like location location location right. Yeah. This is the perfect spot. Oh yeah. Do you live in the Aurora area. I do. Perfect. It's perfect. This is your own. This area has needed something like this for a while. Yeah I know. Absolutely. Because I would have to go maybe 30 minutes 35 minutes to get wherever I need to go to play pickleball. I'll go that far. You know now it's only 5 10 minutes away from me. So yeah. Well I'll be seeing you a lot here because I'm working here as well. Oh you are. Yeah. I'll be working on this. I'm Greg. Greg. I'm Mike. Mike. Yeah. Yeah. And the podcast is pickleballers next door if you haven't heard of it. Well no I haven't. OK. Check it out man. Yeah we're fairly new. Yeah we talk about the everyday Joe. We're not about paddle reviews or pros. I mean we're just about like you playing. What are you having fun. Where you playing. Yeah. What's going on. Awesome. That's awesome. Yeah. But Andrew thank you so much for being on. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah. All right. We're back with the Komodo kid. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Caleb. Nice to meet you guys. Yeah. So what's your initial thoughts of this spot. It's 20 minutes away from me which isn't that bad. I'm going to admit it looks pretty good. Pretty good distance for me. Great establishment establishment. I love the pickler but you also got to enjoy epic epic pickleball. Yeah. Yeah. We're going to be playing it everywhere. So I call you the Komodo kid because you wear it. You have a ton of Komodo right. Yeah. I wear I wear about a Komodo. They're one of my sponsors. Shout out to Komodo. Give us your Instagram so people can follow you. Caleb people could be K.A.L.E.B. people. I don't post as much as I used to but videos are coming soon. You know some new drops stuff like that. I think the Komodo kid would be a great new handle for you. I should. That sounds like a great handle. I have to charge you for that. We're gonna have to charge you for it. What if I copyright it first. Oh look I'm thinking ahead. You know you always got to be three steps ahead. You know let me ask you how old are you. I'm 14. You know what I love about him. He's a shit talker. Oh yeah. That's one of the things I love about him. But the best part is guys get in the court with them and think oh I got to play with this young guy. And he just takes them home. Oh yeah. You got you sure. I heard you had that kid on that interview. The blonde hair blonde hair guy Friday paddle crazy good. I would not like to play him in a game. And he's saying that he's going to get on that beat the pro court and then beat beat the tar out of Kyle. Oh I am. Oh yeah. So first game I played with Kyle. I I sweep the floor because I was like I'm going to sweep the floor like Kyle because like you know he's like totally terrible and he's like totally not a Hall of Famer. I'm like I'm I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna actually take his nominee nomination spot for being on the Hall of Fame because I'm just that good of a player. Watch your stride. Watch your stride. I'm coming for you man. Right here. You got to get a try. I'm out right here. One of my main things I want to do today is Kyle Kyle is what Kyle Kyle. Oh yeah. That's good. So I tried to nasty Nelson at the Thornton Grand Opening. Really. Yeah. How did that go. I missed. He's too fast. He's really fast. I really I just really want. I actually almost hit him. What happened was I was going to dig cross court and then I hit it right in front of me and he got his paddle in the way and then he hit it. He got his paddle in the way. So Caleb we really appreciate you being on. And I think we're going to have to do like a fuller show. I really do want to do a full show. I like this because what I want to do is I want to do a game where one guy on each side is mic'd up and I want to put you on that. I actually. Oh so this is another series that is coming to Caleb. It's called Mic'd Up with Caleb of course. I got like these DJI mini mics on the instead of me just being mic'd up alone. My partner's actually mic'd up too. So you can hear their their voice too and also mine. So it's really funny because if you didn't know a lot of people talk to talk to themselves. Yes. When they play pickleball. Oh yeah. And just hearing the back play of it is so hilarious. But I haven't I haven't done much so far. But that will be getting out probably in the next week or two. So. Heck yeah. I'm going to start. I'm going to start doing it. But I'm going to do one person on each side. Oh that's smart. Yeah. So you can hear the trash talk of those. Yes. I can't wait to do it. We're going to do it together. Yeah. All right. I like it. I like it. All right. Thank you so much. Thanks a lot. OK. See ya. All right. We are here with Amy Lopez. Hello in the house. You want someone fun to play with. This is the lady. Oh yeah. Yes. She's fucking hilarious. Oh my God. What's your initial thoughts of the Aurora pickler. Oh man. I've been playing it. I played at the Loveland pickler. I played at the Thornton pickler. This by far has the biggest grand opening I've ever seen. It's really AP and Chelsea have killed it. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. They're great people. Right. They really are. Yeah. I mean how do you not love them. How do you not support them. Right. And the facility itself. It's so beautiful. Gorgeous. No keep it close to the mic. Oh hey. I got a little distracted. She's wearing a shirt that says be kind of a bitch. I might be a lot of a bitch sometimes. It depends on who my opponents are. That's true. You lost the husband already right. Yeah. I don't know where he went. That's all right. So we're going to see you here a lot or where are you going to be. Yeah I'll be at the pickler. I'll be playing here probably a couple times a week and in Thornton a couple times a week. I see a lot of friends here. I see friendly faces. It's such a great place to come and play pickleball. So good. You want to get good at pickleball. Get that duper up. Yeah. There's only one way to get a super duper and that's at the pickler. Oh we like it. Awesome. Amy thank you so much for being on the bus. Thanks guys. I'm going to go jump on with Kyle. Yeah. Yeah. Good luck. Take him out. All right. I'm going to body bag. I tried it. I tried to nasty Nelson and went in Thornton. Oh I'm nasty Nelson. Me one. Yeah I miss. We won't talk about that on the air. No it's all right. Thank you. I appreciate you. All right. We're back. I'm sorry. I don't know your name. I should know you because he's awesome. Yeah. He's awesome. And you want to play a left hander. Oh yeah. He smiles. Oh he's super cute and all loving. And then she'll put that heat right on you. I always say that lefties ruin the world. You've got to beat him with a smile. Yeah. And I heard that they die sooner than righties. Oh that's hard. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. We're just getting people's initial reaction of the pickler. Let's see. So I drove an hour just for JP to come over here to check it out because I want to support our local pickleball pros. He does an awesome job. And I was like so picklers got an awesome like their whole. I lost my train of thought but their whole business model. Oh yeah. Great. Such a good leader with bringing people together. Great guy. So I think it's awesome. Eight courts a little small. But I mean this area I think it'll work really really well. And you get an awesome membership. You can come here as much as you want. So sign up. Yeah. Where do you live. What area. I'm in West Arvada. So this is a hike. Oh yeah. OK. That's where I'm from too. That's where we play together. Yeah. Yeah. So I mean I'm the head pro over Highland Hills. I work over at Apex. So if you need lessons over there. Yeah. Go ahead. Give us a shout out. Give a shout out to Apex Parks and Rec. Shout out to Highland Hills over in Westminster. Come see me in Arvada or Westminster. Is there an email or something people can get ahold of you. You can always text me 9 1 0 2 0 9 1 3 2 0. Awesome. This is a great lady. She's got great patience. She's a great player. So I just love to get a play. Enter her husband. They both make a good team. Yeah. Mark. Mark is amazing. He's got that powerful right hand. You are the left hand. Oh my God. These two are tough. You know if I have a bad day I'm not playing them. Thank you so much. Thank you so much for being on. Thank you guys. Of course. Have a great day. So we're back. Back again. What's your name. I'm Mariah. Mariah. I'm Vince. Vince. Greg. I'm Greg. It's the first time I've met you. Yeah. Great to meet you. Yeah. Nice to meet you. This is my morning early guy playing. That's right. This is my 530 in the morning. Sometimes. Sometimes. Wow. I don't even see him at 5 in the morning. That's impressive. So what's your initial thoughts of the Aurora Pickler. OK. So far it's it's gorgeous. I love the court colors. Right. The black walls. I mean it's very familiar. We're part of the Thornton one. So right. But this is a little brighter. So it does. Yeah. I feel like it's a little different. I don't know. Maybe it's just a smaller space. Maybe it's J.P.'s place. It's just he brings that sunshine. He definitely brings the sunshine. I really like these lights like this like circular. Oh is that. Yeah that's sharp looking. It's really nice. Yeah I love it. So are you guys playing today. Are you playing. Oh yeah. Yeah definitely. Yeah. Oh yeah. Get out there. I know. Yeah. Get out there. Yeah. Oh I know the courts are hot. They are. They are. Some got some good games going on. You're going to try and beat the pro. Good try. Good luck. Do you two play together a lot. Yeah on occasion. Who's better. Oh for sure. Oh come on. Without a doubt. Without a doubt. I hadn't held a paddle in my hand like for three months ago. Four months. Oh wow. First time. Yeah. I'm like he kicks my butt. But I still try to give him a challenge on singles. He's getting a good serve and that serve he's starting to do is a little crazy. You help me out Mike. I try to do my best. Maybe I'll have to wake up at 5 a.m. to come learn from the best. Thank you guys. Mariah Vince. Have a great day. Thank you so much for being on. Thank you. Enjoy. Good luck beating the pro. Go. Thank you guys. Thank you. All right. We are back. Here we are. My favorite man here. This is one of my favorite people. I have such a good time coming in early morning at the Pickler and Thornton. You always are such a great person. Talk to you. Just a great great awesome person. I thought you were talking about Brian. No. No. You're always there. I think you live there too. Yeah. Five thirty in the morning. Yes. He's there. You don't the doors. Yeah. He's already got this place open. Turned on ready to go. Music going. Having his coffee. He's ready. So what are your initial thoughts of this Pickler. Awesome. Oh my. I think it's great. I think it's great for JP. And I mean JP started with us you know just four months ago. Right. And here he is. Here he is. Wow. I know. Isn't it crazy. What is it. What are some. Just real quick. Some differences that you see between your Pickler and this Pickler. Not much difference. I mean I like the walls. I like the concrete block walls. I don't have to repair. I don't have to repair these. Yeah. No one kicking holes through some brick. That's right. And that's what I always see out there fixing all the drywall too. Yeah. So yeah. This place is nice. It's a good location. Awesome location. And I've seen the people here and they're happy. Everyone's happy. That's the Pickleball community. Yeah I agree. And I think this area needed a nice indoor spot. Yeah. I know it did. Yeah. It's about time. Well your daughter's awesome. Brian's awesome. I mean your whole family's awesome. You can't miss you guys either. You're not sure. We kind of. People look up to us. They kind of stand out. Yeah. I think minimum six four. Yeah. What was it. What was your. Chris is six one. All right. He's the run. Yeah. It's OK. If you don't know his daughter was our second show. Amber and it was one of our better shows. Really was. But I love the family there. That's where I play. That's where I live. So that's kind of my home. This is this. I got to get a helicopter to come here. It's a little bit of a ride. This is home number two for Mike. But that's what Amber likes. You said when you all interviewed her family family support. That's why she picked to pick her pick her get have all the qualities that she was looking for. And everyone that comes in our door is family. They really are every one of them. Absolutely. I never feel like I'm not welcome. It is always very welcoming there. Well if I didn't welcome someone she'd fire me. Yeah. But then she'd have to take care of you too. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. I always a pleasure. Yeah. Thank you so much. Have a great day. Enjoy. Enjoy the rest of this. Oh I think I know you do. All right. Thanks. All right. We're here with Lizzie and Charlotte. Hello. How are you guys. How are you. Are you pickleball players. Yes. My parents are actually opening three of the picklers. Well they have a location and they have a lease in Littleton right now. I think they're opening one in like the Parker Castle Pines area. I think you want to cast her off. They talk about it a lot. So you're the sponsor. Yeah. So this is part of the family plug in. They're already plugging the new picklers coming up. I love it. Yeah. Yeah. How much you guys play. I don't really play. Yeah. You don't play. Come on. I play with my family for fun. All right. That's what it's about. It is about playing a game together. And I will. Well we played on different teams. I won one and then I played another game and I won that one too. I love it here today. Yeah. How old are you guys. I'm 13. I'm 12. So you guys are gonna be pros. Just keep playing a little bit. Maybe. Yeah. You got you got your doubles partner right here. There she is. Heck yeah. Are you gonna play any tournaments. Well I don't know because she lives in Virginia. We're cousins. Oh what part of your sister. I live in Falls Church Virginia. No kidding. My brother lives in Falls Church Virginia and I'm out there quite a bit. Oh yeah. So we're cousins and every year on my mom's side of the family. She has like 10 siblings. So we do a beach trip in North Carolina and we do like a pickleball tournament. And I always lose to my cousins Carolyn and Roland. And it makes me mad. So I started practicing and that's how we like got to pickleball. Heck yeah. That's awesome. That's awesome. Where do you play in Virginia or in Falls Church. I just play around my house like in my driveway. In your driveway. We have Tyson's Corner has a pickleball indoor place. Yeah. I want to get better at it. And our parents were talking about maybe I could like fly out and come to a camp with Lizzie this summer. I love it. It's really fun. Like I went to the Thornton one and did like a lesson and it was really fun. What's your favorite part of pickleball. The kitchen. Oh nice. No I would say just like it's fun sport to like play with your friends and stuff. And it's pretty easy. It's like it can be easy but it could also be hard just depend on how seriously you take it. Right. So like I can have fun with my friends who don't play very good and I can have fun with my friends who do play good. And it's for everyone. It is for everyone. She's becoming a pro and she's going to be a pro. You just think about this right. Twelve and 13 years old and everyone thinks it's an old person sport. It's not. Not anymore. Not anymore. Well thank you guys for being on. Thank you for inviting us. Absolutely. I guess we kind of invited ourselves. No you're fine. I'm so glad. This will be out next week. So what's it called. Pickleballers Next Door. OK. We will. We'll watch our. All right. It's not on YouTube. It's only only audio. All of them. All of them. Yep. Spotify Apple Amazon all of them. We're becoming famous. Pickleballers Next Door. It's on there. You do Instagram. No but my mom does. OK. That's our Instagram as well. OK. Thank you so much. All right. We're here with Dan. How are you doing Dan. I'm great. How are you guys doing. We're doing good. Amazing. So what are your initial thoughts of this Aurora Pickler. The Aurora Pickler is beautiful. It is. Wow. They did a really nice job here. And I've been playing at the one up in Thornton and this is just as great. Yes. You should have seen it four days ago. It didn't look like it was. I feel like that's typically how it goes right. Construction right at the last minute. Make sure you get it. Get it done. But yeah they did a great job and turnouts amazing. There is a ton of people. There is a ton of the line out the door around the building. They said they reached capacity. Yeah that's crazy. But it shows like how well this is thought out that it can handle this many people. Right. Yeah. In this space. And you got you know people on every court flying. So absolutely unreal. It's impressive. So Dan was a part of the beat the pro. He played with Kyle and you had to beat him and Kyle. Right. You were just doing that. Yeah I played with Kyle and then anybody who wanted to could try to win three points against us. How'd that go. We did not lose. Yeah. As I figured. Yeah. As I figured. Yeah. It was good. It was fun to get people out there. There's some personalities for sure that are here. Did you meet the Komodo kid Caleb. Yeah. Did you ask if we beat him. Oh I know you beat me. He told him he told me you beat him. Kyle told me don't hold back. Yeah. He's a smack talker. He's he's the he's probably the biggest personality here. Absolutely. He actually told us that he's going to take Kyle's Hall of Fame nomination away from him. He's that good of a player. I think he should probably work on getting his serve in. Yeah. No. I call him the Komodo kid and I know he's the biggest shit talker that I've actually. Why the Komodo kid. It's all he uses is Komodo. And I didn't know his name before this. Komodo kid. Every time I saw him he's just Komodo. All I know is we had to give him three breakfast balls when when he was serving. Oh. All right. I'm going to hit him on that. You should hit him on that one. Sometimes somebody with a personality like that needs to be reminded that they missed three serves in a row. So true. Kyle Yates said don't worry kid you can have another try. You want to know what he did not say that to us. He did not tell us that he's a good kid. I like a big personality. Oh yeah. I do. I thought he was fun and he keeps things interesting. Yeah. Imagine where he was actually really. He was like super thankful when we tap paddles at the net and imagine at 14 know where he's going to be in a few years. Trouble. Yeah. I mean not even on the pickleball court just trouble. He can tiptoe around that right now. He can. He can barely see over the net. Yeah. Which is interesting. Which is very. He looked like he was a tennis player. He's got very tennis strokes. OK. I've never actually seen him play. Yeah. I mean he's got potential potential. OK. I think he's a good kid. I would look for him in the. I mean I assume he lives down here right in the area. We have no idea. I know he plays at Epic a lot. He's there. He's an epic a lot. So he lives around here. So he's probably going to be one of the good juniors around here. Yeah. Which is exciting. I feel like that's that's what we need. We need more juniors playing. I agree for all the people. I had somebody like just last week say to me again. Pickleball is an old person sport. I said that's wild. No. His kids play play tennis. And I said you got to get him. You know you know the pickleball pickleball. Yeah. And he's there. That's old people stuff. Wow. You know man you'll see soon. Your kids are going to be asking you to play pickleball. Oh yeah. We get that kid that Komodo kid is. It's good to see that. Yeah. We just had two two girls on 12 and 13. And she's another one to get a house. Yeah. I mean she's good. She was all about it. She's all about it. Family's opening a pickler. So she's going to pick a ball in her life. There's another one opening in Littleton. Her family's opening one in Littleton I think Littleton. How many more of these do they have scheduled open. I think like they said they're going to have 500 playable courts. In Colorado. Holy shit. Yeah that's a lot. Five hundred playable courts. And this has got like eight. The one up north is not nine nine nine up there. I don't know what Loveland has. How are they. An accident. I think it's 20. It's 500. They have 590 courts right now. Wow. Around the United States. And they want to open 500 in Colorado. Sounds ambitious. Yeah that does. That's like 7-Elevens. Slurpee where you play your pickleball. Yeah. Between the pickler and Maverick gas stations. Yeah. Right. So tell us about your brewery. Oh man my brewery is my brewery is called Finkel and Garf. I opened it in July 2014. We're available throughout the entire state bars restaurants liquor stores. And it's been a blast. I came out here from New York to visit my parents over the holidays and we'd go hang out at a brewery and I was like Dan this looks like a great business to be in. It's a lot of fun. Get to know the community and what's better than hanging out with some friends drinking beer. Absolutely. Yeah. Not much. Not much better than that. Yeah. So I said all right. Yeah. Well only in 20. If I knew about pickleball in 2014 I probably would've gotten into a different business. Right. But yeah. So I got going in 2014 and we we ended up actually shutting down our location in Boulder. Just didn't make sense. And we've sort of figured out how to make our beer in other places. Nice. I've got a distributor and I've got a sales team and we have been able to make more beer and go further than we ever have. And so business is good. And yeah. Now I just get to bring bring my beer to the pickleball court. Yeah. Pickleball. Nothing wrong with that. Yeah. I. It's probably a good thing pickleball didn't exist back then when I got going. It would have been a big distraction. Well we went to this place in Kansas City. It's called a char bar. OK. I don't know it. It's great barbecue. OK. Great barbecue. But they have four indoor and two outdoor courts. Oh that's very cool. Yeah. And so. And this is in Kansas. Kansas. But the food is so good. I mean me and you go there for the pickle or for the barbecue. Both. Yeah. Yeah. There's food. We're there. Right. So when we were at Pickle Con. OK. They were handing out samples in the in the in the vendor row. Yeah. And we decided that you know what let's go check it out. Yeah. It was. And they had. So Pickle Con put on this pickleball tour and they took you around to all bunch of different courts and char bar was on that. OK. Oh that's very cool. Yeah. So that's Kansas City. I think you like. I think you guys like barbecue or you like anything really. Well I don't eat. I don't eat fish. So let's take fish out of the equation. What do you like to eat in Denver. I have a go to. I have depending on what it is. See I'm here to ask you the hard hitting questions. Oh yeah. Mike Mike has something in mind. He's got a favorite. If it's a if it's a burger. I like the atomic burger and golden across from the course plant. OK. This is a crazy one. This is a hole in the wall. It's called Columbine Steakhouse. OK. It's this little place off 6th Avenue. But you get a 20 ounce 22 ounce pin or 20 ounce. Not ribeye. Porter. Yeah. It is good. And it's just they cook it on the grill right there. It's old school old school. This is what they give you like a baked potato potato in a salad and it's just old school. But it's good. That's awesome. So yeah that's kind of my go to for steak. You want to tell me one more time. The Columbine Steakhouse on 6th and it's on federal and 6th Avenue. Oh that's good to know. All right. And I also like the bagel deli. Oh the bagel deli. Oh yeah. Yes. It was real. It's so good. It's so good. Yeah. That's how about you. I talked to my heartstrings back east. Yes. So what's your spot. Oh man. That's a good question. We got a lot of good food. We have a lot of good food. I am a sucker for Asian food. OK. And while everybody loves the ramen at Uncle I actually think that everything else on the menu is better. OK. So there's the uncle up and low high which is the original one. And I think the rule of thumb there is do not get the ramen. Huh. You get all the small plates all the starters and then the uncle down in Walsh Park has all the ramen. You still don't get it. You get everything else. It's a lot of a lot of different Asian cuisines inspire their menu. And I think it's great. I could eat there constantly. But I know you don't eat fish. But I think Tamaki Den. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. And then actually the sister restaurant to Uncle's Hop Alley over in Rhino. And that's Chinese food. OK. And I think it's like spicy food. Yeah. Yeah. I mean if you got you got a good tolerance for heat. Check out Hop Alley. OK. It's good to go with a few people. It's not. It's nothing like have you guys been to like Star Kitchen. Yes. Like traditional Chinese. You're not getting your beef and broccoli. Right. Hop Alley. Right. It's you're getting traditional Chinese is different than American Chinese like the orange chicken. Exactly. Have you ever heard of this thing called culinary diplomacy. No. Please don't check it out. But it's this whole thing around how foreign countries want to work on their relationship with the U.S. and say they. So they have done it. Thailand I think was the first one or the big one that did it initially. So they introduced Americanized versions of their cuisine and set up people in the U.S. to open restaurants featuring time. That's why I like if you go to a Chinese restaurant or tiresome they all have the exact same thing right there. Oh yeah. But if you go to Thailand you go to China. Dishes are different. Way different. But it's a way it was a way to introduce Americans to foreign countries and cultures through cuisine. Interesting. Interesting. I don't know if I did a great job summarizing that. Sounds good to me. Yeah. All right. Take it till you make it kind of thing. Yeah yeah. Bullshit my way through this. You know if you like fish. I like that. I like everything. OK. I like to eat. Yeah. So we went to Eddie B's. I don't know that was. It's off of Orchard. You know where Shanahan's Steakhouse is. It's off of Orchard and I 25. I know where the distillery is. I don't know the distillery over there. So anyways there's that big tower like art piece. Yeah. It's right next to that. OK. OK. So Eddie B's. I had a great. I'm a ribeye fan. OK. I had a great ribeye there. But my wife said that I think it's some of the best scallops she said that she's ever had. Eddie B's Eddie B's. All right. I like it. So are you still playing today. Are they still doing the Kyle. I guess they wanted to like let everybody come on and play. So we just play one game to 11. I think we're supposed to go back on here. I think. Yeah. I see them carrying a paddle so it might be how you walk that way. Yeah. That might be the cue. Yeah. I think we're supposed to go back on in about five or 10 minutes. Nice. Dan thank you so much. Thank you. It's a treat to chat with you guys. We need to we need to go to eat and eat do some pickleball together. Let's do it. You know one. I'm always down for eating. Yeah. Yeah. Eat first pickleball later. Burn those calories. Thanks guys. Thank you. All right. We're back. We're back. We're back. Remind me of your name. My name is Molly Carter. That's what I thought. I fucking knew you had. I had it. You had it. I had it. Yeah. Yeah. I had it. But it wasn't coming out. Let me ask. Are you the one that I always hear has your own courts at your own house. I wish that I thought it was you. No. I swear everybody else. That was you. All right. All right. I wish I know. I'm not worried because we're going to say we'll bring the food. I invite you over. I would be awesome. Oh we'd be there in a heartbeat. Yeah. You bring food barbecue food whatever and pickleball. Yeah. We're there. Yeah. Yeah. So what's your initial thought of this place. Oh it's great. It's amazing right. Yeah. I love it. And it's in my neighborhood. Oh I'm like a mile. Yeah. Even more better. Yeah. Yeah. Even the best. So do you. So you're walking here every day now and you're gonna. That's your warm up. Yeah I'll probably ride my bike even better as long as it's not an electric bike. It's electric bike. Yeah. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. What's a regular bike. What does he talk. I don't know. I like the way it's a little thing. I only exercise if I'm playing pickleball. Exactly. I like her. I hear that. I know this place is great. The courts are great. The lighting is great. Already the energy is great. Oh my energy is outstanding. Yeah. It's like they can use somebody like you here. I mean they're going to get some. Yeah. Yeah. You're working here. No I'm going to. I'm going to try to start working here. Yeah. Ambassador or staff ambassador. Yeah. Cool. Cool. Cool. Yeah. I can't wait. You know we'll have to get some games in so you can wreck me. Oh yeah. So you can wreck me and I can learn my lesson. Make it make you feel good about it. You need to body bag him. I will take pictures. I will take. I will buy you a body bag. I will buy you the best dinner you ever had. You body bag him. It's on. It's on. You know that's my license plate. Body bag. Body bagger. No shit. No shit. I'm in a body bag and then crotch flex. I love it. And when you say crotch flex. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This. I hope you do. I hope you do. And I'm buying gold. Yeah. Yeah. And then you just let me know. I'm here all the time and you're getting dinner. OK. OK. Yeah. Yeah. Molly thank you for being on. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. We'll see. We'll see you around. I can't. I can't wait to work on my body bag technique. Yeah. I can't. I can't wait to body bag you. Oh yeah. I dare you. Oh I'll try. All right. We're here with Chelsea Parker. And she's one of. She's JP's wife. And part owner of this amazing pickler here in Aurora. Awesome place. Yeah. We say we say the best for last. That's always how it goes. That's how it is. Usually clean up crew. Yeah. Make sure everything went well. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Feed everyone. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Make sure everyone's happy in charge of everyone. Sometimes. Well you did. You did a really good job. This was awesome. Thank you. What a turnout. Yeah. It's been great. We've been. We've seen so many people. New faces old faces. Original friends from when we learned pickleball five years ago. Friends you don't want to see. Oh no. I want to see everybody. Oh yeah. Non picklers. Lots of people that have never touched a pickleball paddle. Awesome. So there's a lady that's here right now. Her name's. Charity I think. Yes I've met her. Yes. And she has not ever played pickleball. Yep. And she just bought a pair of shoes. Yep. I sold them to her. Yeah. I told her I told her to go in and see you. Yeah. And I don't. She hasn't bought a paddle yet. But she's done it. Yeah. She's playing tomorrow. We're playing open. You know she only bought shoes though but she didn't buy a paddle. I think she has a paddle. Oh OK. OK. I watched one in her hand leave the building. OK. She bought it or she stole it. I'm seeing her at noon either way. We're playing tomorrow. So I was just talking to her and she was like well I don't know if I should do that class in the morning too. Yeah. There she is. We're just talking about you. We're talking about you. We're excited to play with you tomorrow. Yeah. We were saying that you are the newest addict to the pickleball family. Family. So she's talking about playing in two different events tomorrow. You should. That's what I said. But she said one when you can do two. Exactly. Work. Yes. Oh. See. So she she just joined the pickler and she's already scheduled out two days. Yeah. The first two days were open. She scheduled out three events. Yeah. Well that that's what pickleball pickleball does to you. It does. That's kind of addiction to have. Yes it is. Yes it is. So tell us your role here. My role is pretend supervisor. I am hidden behind the scenes as much as possible but I will probably be here all the time after my regular age of five. Heck yeah. Well your husband said you. He said awesome things about you said what you've done to bring all the crew in and the people. Yeah. That's awesome. My H.R. training came in handy when I had to interview. Oh sure. You're in trouble. He's going to be he's going to be in the in the room all the time. That's why we're opening together tomorrow. I get that. Keep him in line. Yeah you need to. No H.R. complaints here. Where's H.R. Yeah it's a different job different life. So I'll be here just you know meeting meeting players meeting friends do an inventory making sure that the front desk team is happy and making sure that everyone has a good time and giving out smiles. That's awesome. That's the best thing to give out. Yeah. High fives and smiles. High fives and smiles. Hell yes. Awesome. Well we love your husband JP. Yeah. Yeah. You probably. I do. My favorite is when people say oh do you know JP. And I'm like intimately. We're actually married. Yeah. I'm pretty well. I love it. You guys have the same last name. That's amazing. Weird. Yeah. Yeah. It's awesome. He deserves. You both deserve it. Yeah. No he's really hard for it. And we're really proud. I'm really proud of him. I think all the work he puts into it just is thousands and thousands and thousands of hours. He is a true connoisseur of pickleball. He watches pickleball all the time. He's always following it on Instagram. He's always you know giving out coaching tips and bringing people together. And I think that's why it's been such a successful turnout I think. Absolutely. 80 percent of these people have met him somewhere once and remember him and they are just excited to support him. I just got done talking to a lady. I was like where are you. She's from Utah. Yeah. And she said I'm here for JP. Yeah. I know there's people I've talked to that flew in to see JP. Yes. Yeah. It's crazy. And so we're super proud of him and everything he's accomplished. Well I'm just happy to be along for the ride and be you know his number one cheerleader. But a good wife makes a good husband. My wife. You should tell him that twice. I did tell him that. So you're awesome too. Both of your guys a smile just light up a room. Thank you. We're excited. He's one of my favorite people. He's done nothing but he's done nothing but open doors for us. He is incredible. Yeah. No he he does that. He's a big connections guy opportunity maker. He's had a thousand lives and has a thousand different paths. And I think the future is all pick of all those. Yeah definitely. It is now. Your kids are going to have battles. Loyalty. Yeah. Loyalty. I love our niece and nephew for sure. Oh yeah. Absolutely. I'm with you on that. All they do is hit each other with the paddle. We're working on balls not people. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well thank you so much for being here. Good luck in the future. And we look forward to playing here quite a bit. 6 a.m. 6 a.m. Yeah. There you go. Be here. Singles. I like it. Singles. Yeah. Done. All right. Thanks guys. I saw your body bag. So yeah. You're in for it. I know. I know. I can't wait. Bigger target. Yeah. What are you saying. I'm saying my brother is very small. They're like scarecrow. And I'm built a little bit different than him. I'd say more like a lion minus the cowardly. No. The lion. The lion minus the cowardly. Absolutely. Thank you so much. Thank you. I just want to say thank you to a sweet sip for supporting the podcast. A sweet sip is a very delicious CBD drink non-alcoholic for great flavors.
