Yeah. Well. Thanks. Thanks for having me guys I appreciate it always always a pleasure. Yeah So we've got the Grand Mesa open. It's been kind of following along With the Rocky Mountain Championships obviously we had in Denver And then about a month later. We had the Mountain Town Classic out in Steamboat which both were fantastic events You know I mean for RMC. We had you know over 750 registered players, which was amazing and For Steamboat, I think we were around To 250 or something like that so that was a that was a huge turnout for them And then our final stop on the series is going to be out in Grand Junction The 2025 Grand Mesa open so we are we are full throttle on that right now We're trying to get up to around 200 players, so the registrations open now for a couple more weeks It'll be open until September 1st, but uh definitely get signed up and make your way out there I don't know if you guys have been out to Grand Junction. I haven't but the courts look awesome I mean, but there's they are nice. I've looked them up on Google Maps. They look really cool. Yeah I have yeah, so we've got a family house out and Fruta and Palisade actually which is right outside of Grand Junction, so we're pretty familiar with the area down in Grand Junction Rated in the kind of the center of the city they have like a walk a big water park for kids and Pickleball courts as well. It's called Lincoln Park Pickleball Center Which is a 910 North 12th Street out in Grand Junction, so if you're ever out there check it out They have and I don't know exactly how many courts, but I want to say about 20 Around 20 they just redid it too so all the courts are resurfaced They've got lighting stays open till you know once the once the Sun goes down there and hot-ass Exactly it's a darker hot now you said when you'll get our peaches, right? It's right next yeah Yeah, if you've never had a Palisade peach you're missing out and also Palisade is wine country out Yeah, so I mean you can make this tournament into like a nice little weekend getaway Oh come out for the tournament grab some peaches get wasted on some wine Yep, I will be checking all those boxes Yeah, no Palisades great. It's a small little town right outside of Grand Junction the peaches I mean you can get Palisade peaches all over that whole area And then yeah, I mean just the wine there great food There's tremendous restaurants And then if you go past Grand Junction you've got Fruta, which is a mountain biking town mountain biking Mecca Literally, I mean if you haven't been out to the Western Slope it is it looks like a different planet Then you know the front range, and it's super cool So if you mountain bike if you mountain bike if you like to shoot guns if you like to ride dirt bikes If you like if you like to wait in the river yeah the river to yeah River runs right right through it you got tons of cool stuff So we were coming back from I don't remember one of our road trips that's like, California or something We came back through and we ate at this little restaurant. I think it was called um base camp base camp, okay? Is that in Fruta or it was in it was in Fruta really okay base camp? I guess it started out really small, and I guess now. It's just yeah, yeah, Fruta is awesome and They have you know a big dinosaur out there, so if you have if you have kids They've got the dinosaur museum lots of dinosaurs themed things which kids seem to be obsessed with dinosaurs So the Grand Junction is not this little place anymore Junctions booming man. It is booming. They've got a new concert I don't know if it's a concert hall, but it's the outdoor concert venue out there We saw a show out there last year. We're gonna see another one here this weekend actually nice And they've got like campgrounds where airstreams are set up and you can kind of rent out some airstream Trailers and stay right outside the venue. It's it's tremendous. Oh my god. This guy just hit the hardest Sleeper this isn't this is live right here behind us. Yeah, I don't know if you guys heard that Like a shotgun we're gonna have to check the court for some holes So I don't know where I was going okay, so I'm gonna go to these events I mean yeah, I mean we've been to both because we're the podcaster there They were the best events we've ever been to I mean these things were ran very well steamboat I didn't want to leave. Yeah, it was so nice Yeah, steam steamboat was amazing. You know we had we had a couple hiccups with Rocky Mountain Which is you know it's to be expected. I mean, it's it's such a large tournament. It's huge There's a lot of people to keep moving through the It is yeah It is and we're making adjustments and as you can see if you played there was a lot of people that played in RMC and then came out to steamboat and you can see you know we we made some adjustments in the software We're using pickleball brackets right now We had you know patty guy goes out there helping us and Donnie as well Which are two if you're in Colorado, and you don't know who they are you should they're incredible Hopefully you get a chance to meet them. They're just incredible people and then you've got obviously my wife Chelsea Shout-out to Chelsea chop Chelsea's full-time pickle right now. She just left her job In HR to go full-time. How did you do that? She deserves it and you know what like she's so great at it. You know I should probably get a job And then shout out to my boy Ricky He'll be out there screaming everybody So yeah, I mean, it's just you know we're doing things right. We're taking the feedback We're implementing change, and that's what we want You know there were some some tournaments that came through town this weekend, and I heard some negative things About bringing ringers in that are traveling around with them and things like that I'll say again You know if you're in Colorado Be careful who you're who you're giving your money to and what these tournaments are like the the RMC tournaments These are people people that own these are from Colorado. They're in this community. We are full-time pickle We are building something great, and I hope that you guys are a part of it. It's really important We try to do the things the right way we try to do it with integrity So yeah, I mean all the money goes back to Colorado Here we're you know and our mission is to to grow high school pickleball obviously with the Colorado pickleball Association and all those things and and this helps us do it so I need to support a small companies that are growing you Know we're pod pickle podcast next door, and you're helping you know grow us. You know yeah, we you know we were really big on Just working with local local companies obviously one of our main sponsors is the pickler But then we you know Yola because Gordon was here and Yola's helped us out tremendously, and we'll have Komodo pickleball guys out there. I'm going to meet with them on Wednesday So they're out in Grand Junction if you've ever heard of Komodo and then of course we have Kyle Yates with us and So Kyle will be selling his signature paddle out there if you haven't tried it the new paddle tech you've got to try it It's pretty nice. It is So sick if you never watch him play what a player yeah And if you can come out and watch Kyle play like this guy this guy's this guy's Yeah, nice level unbelievable talent. Hey. I don't know if you know, but we're gonna have a little interactive chances to win prizes out there, we're gonna do uh I We're gonna have a I think we're gonna try and get a Grand Junction cop out there with the speed gun so we can Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, we got your serve Top speed serves. I don't have the hardest serve, but I might have to bring out one of my Yola Gen 3 The plan and if we don't have a cop we were gonna have a speed gun either way, it's gonna happen I love that But the serve so what's the rules on this And it doesn't have to be deep it doesn't have to be whatever it just has to be We're gonna have a Jen opening up the Littleton one, okay She'll be out next week Whatever. I can't say next week because I don't really know when this is going out, but right Dates kind of suck on podcasts But I told her that if you see me on the court trying to play one of those pros You can expect that I'm gonna nest try and nasty Nelson them. Yeah, I think you know you got to get points You know maybe get some somebody from the crowd to create some sort of diversion Yeah Hayden Patrick Quinn, that's who I'm going after. Okay. Well specifically, okay, I like that Big H is kind of shifty though. So yeah, he is. We'll see. Yes. He's a little wiry fast little bastard. We'll see You heard it here first. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so H watch yourself watch yourself big H coming after you So where do you go to register? Oh, that's a great question. So we are gonna go to pickleballtournaments.com To register for the Grand Mesa Open or if you just google Grand Mesa Open it should you know? One of the first links that I'll sign up will be pickleballtournaments.com And if you're something else that we're sorry something else that we're doing is we're gonna have a the junior division out there Lots of juniors and then we're also doing a collegiate division. So no University out there. So I'm gonna get some some kids out interested in the game There's lots of there's lots of young players out there every time I go those courts It's really cool for me to see, you know younger people out there playing pickleball and actually playing pickleball They're not out there jacking around. They're just they're grinding it out and they're out there late nights Right now we're at the Pickler Aurora best spot to be Exactly right now we got the we got the we call it the big dogs open play four fives and you can just hear these Guys just shredding walls right now. Yeah, it just goes back and forth hard Yeah, they're they're they're getting after it pretty good. But I was I was playing in a league last night I live in Westminster, Colorado. So I was playing the Apex. Yeah, eight o'clock comes those courts are filled with kids full I know I mean it's warm. They're playing. They're not just you know, they're kids, right? They have some new rules I mean, I've watched him for a few minutes. They have some of their own rules, but they play pickleball. That's all this is crazy Well, you know what if you're if you're a kid and you're interested in pickleball your middle school high school age You know reach out to the podcast like let us help you get your pickleballs club started at your school because this year We're gonna be hosting the first ever high school state championship for pickleball It's gonna be sick so Look out for that. Well guys, you got to get out here. It's not a lot It's a beautiful place. It's not a long drive from here from Denver We've actually the rooms there are real reasonable. I mean, it's not it. That's a nice thing. It's not it's not expensive Junction there. Yeah They're great. And yeah, we already mentioned all the all the fun stuff to do. I'm got a gum Yeah, we're trying to set up a clinic We're gonna be doing a clinic with some of our pickler coaches and then Kyle Yates obviously doing a clinic out there before the tournament so be on the lookout for that and Yeah, it's a little little jaunt like three and a half four hours. Maybe just down. I 70 bang bang bang beautiful drive until you get to certain spots Yeah, it's like beautiful not beautiful beautiful not beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful So if you want to get into a tournament that's just nothing honestly But fun go to the Grand Mesa open go to pickleball.com sign up pickleball tournament So yeah pickleball tournaments calm sign up. I'm walking away from I've got like 20 new phone Numbers 20 new friends that I didn't know before You know, if you need some Instagram followers or some new friends, come on out to our tournament Yes, so we're gonna take a real quick break and come back. We'll talk a little bit of duper with JP It sounds great But I just want to throw out there if you are one of the people downloading our podcast in Germany, Finland Guatemala those are our top three downloads out of country crazy. I'll send us an email. We'll send you a shirt What's the most obscure country Miranmar? Okay, if you can point that out on a map Actually, you know what? We'll have a map out at the Grand Mesa open. Okay, you can point out Miramar We'll give you a t-shirt shirt. Okay. All right, but not not not like let me look for it. No, like yeah And you bang it out With your left index finger. Yeah, it's a t-shirt If you're small you get an extra-large if you're extra-large you get a medium And you gotta wear it crop top on the court with pride All right, man, we'll talk soon All right, we're back with JB switching modes here Talking about dude with duper Algorithms and that kind of stuff the duper man, but you promote engage So I have a little duper story of my own that I don't I really don't care it's just interesting how this works And I'm trying to figure out a little bit more. I played up in Steamboat. My partner was a four to nine something I was a four to four something. Shut up. Amy Reiser. Shut out. Amy Reiser like the best I like her and we lost we didn't we didn't play. Well, both of us played pretty pretty bad But at the end of the day my duper went down to a 4-0 something and she went down to a four to Five she went down point zero four points and I went down point two So, I don't know what that is. It is what it is. I don't really don't care. It's just interesting Did you body bag anybody? I'm just doing a little research here on the duper app Shout out duper. So a lot of times when when we're talking about this stuff and you know, it's frustrating We can kind of look at the app There's so much data in the app and we can kind of get an idea of you know What happened so as I can see just quick glance what I see is obviously this tournaments already passed But Amy had a reliability rating of a hundred percent Oh, you didn't because you haven't been playing in rated matches very often, right? Okay, right All right. So with a with a lower reliability rating you're gonna see a more fluctuation in your score because duper Once our once our reliability gets, you know below 60. We really want to try to keep it above 60 Duper is trying to figure out who you are as a player So as our reliability drops from not playing rated matches tournaments and things like that You're gonna see more fluctuation in your score So what duper's thought process is on that is that you know You haven't played a bunch of games and your rating may have been too high for your performance that you had in that tournament So it did drop a little bit more than than Amy's did that makes a lot of sense And I'll be honest. I kind of thought I was too high anyways Yeah, so you're always too Well, we are in Colorado You know, I gotta say something too is that you know I'm glad when I met you and I used to play at other places you you've right away said well That's you know, I got my duper and that was like terrible Well this you know It's sad that it that people didn't come out here or get find you To learn how to do duper because the people just thought it was a great thing I thought that was great, but everybody's duper got duper. Yeah, they got duper Yeah, so I mean I don't want to plug myself, but I'm going to do it It kind of is yeah I'm super super thankful for duper and just the opportunities that you know, it's it's provided me I you know since the last podcast that I was on I've traveled across the country to kind of teach for duper and As we've opened up Thor and you know when we opened up Thor and I was I was developing a class Essentially, you know teaching people about duper. So we had a classroom portion It's called the duper educational and skills assessment class At the pickler so you have a half an hour of classroom session where we get your your account set up And then you go through and you learn about duper and then you get kind of a coached gameplay lesson skills assessment Where we're actually observing your skills and then we're taking all that information Video recording and we're going back and giving you the most accurate rating that you can get Instead of going to a rating event where it's kind of a mess, you know So what we do at the pickler is we provide those initial ratings And it's giving you the most accurate rating that you can come out with based on our visual assessment of your skills And there's only certain coaches that that can do this, you know, I've trained Obviously, I created the class here in Colorado up in Thor and you've got Gabriel and Josh Shout out to those two guys. They're unbelievable. So they do it up there Here in Aurora you have myself and you have Q And then we're bringing on another one as well. We'll have Mark Nelson doing that and then A new a new person in town from South Dakota. We've got Rachel for so shout out to her She'll be doing it as well. And then we're also, you know, the pickler Littleton's about to open here on September 6th So we'll get a couple of their coaches spun up But we're the only ones kind of doing this and providing this information And you don't have to be a member to take this class If you're not a member of the pickler you want to come in, please come in see us Let us let us educate you let us train you And send you out with your right foot forward as you begin your pickleball journey Well, here's another thing if you've got duper didn't a duper here's a nice thing that you've done, too We I play it, you know, I get a I like to play at the 4-0 sometimes less I'm not you know, you know, whatever but at least I can come to picklers and you can rate me so that I can play In the open plays and different things, you know, you can give me a new rating here that at least I can play With my level right? Yeah, something that we as I I kind of saw the void in this, you know A lot of clubs will have you know rated open plays, which is great I mean we want to we want to provide the most competitive and fun environment and how do we do that? We we get players together based on their skill level Yeah, so what we do here regardless of what your duper is you can still take the duper class Let's say that your duper is a 2.8 because you you were out at some other place and you got duper Your duper got duper And when we say that it's just we're just poking fun at the fact Yeah, you know some of these places they don't really understand how to use it and they're they're kind of tragically affecting people's dupers and they're dropping significantly based on the format and How they're putting together programming So even let's say your duper is a 2.8 and you know You're a member of the pickler and you want to come take the class What we do is I assess your skill level like Mike for instance. You took the class And then you get a waiver and you're allowed to play at the open plays at your wavered level. Thank goodness But you still have difference. It does but you still have to build your duper. You do have to build your yeah So this is something yeah, this is this is what's great about being on this podcast and and thank you guys for having me again I mean just to get the information out to people is absolutely awesome to have this platform But initially when this started we were under the old algorithm so my waivers that I would create for people at the pickler it allowed you to You know play in the open plays at your wavered level But also play competitive duper rated events at your wavered level because you were assessed at that skill level It wasn't really negative and negatively impacting anyone at that point because of the algorithm But now with the new change to the algorithm, we have to be really careful And this is what I want everybody to understand Watch what events you're playing in and who you're giving your money to for these tournaments or wherever you're playing pickleball I mean because it's so important what I pride myself on is Doing things the right way and really what what you'll get from my members in Aurora is that? They know that I have their best interest in mind, especially when it comes to duper So if you have a waiver, let's say that you're that 2.8 8 duper But you're really a 4.0 level player as we have competitive duper rated events You have to work up your score incrementally And what does that mean? That means you have to play in your assessed band So that band might be you know, a 2.5 to 3.0 if you're 2.8 and play it play in that event But if you're really a 4.0 player, you should have no more problems. You should have no you should have no problems So you play in that event you win your duper is gonna go up maybe by the next time you're playing 3.0 to 3.5 Okay, it's gonna go up 3.5 to 4.0 bang and then we've got you where you need to be But other places what they're doing is they're taking that that 2.0 level player and they're kind of letting them sign up wherever they want Dude, if you have a 2.0 level player in the bracket Maybe that person is a 4.0 skill level, but we put them in a 4.0 bracket You're gonna tank they're gonna destroy everyone else's duper and that's what we cannot do and I just won't be a part of it And that's kind of the knowledge base that you get when you come to the Picklers Specifically here in Colorado is I am I am training all these people all these all all our employees have this information We know how to run the events. We know how to do it the right way We know how to improve your duper score and get you grouped in the in the most competitive way possible So you can grow your duper I guess organically. Yeah And beware of people scamming you on your duper to Elaborate on that one. I know that there's been people that have built fake accounts and are taking money from people So they can boost that person's duper. Yeah This is like a fake ID kind of thing. Yeah This is just so crazy guys Like just beware like if you're good at pickleball You're gonna play the events and your duper is gonna go up just do it the right way You know, I I I felt like Before the algorithm changed. I was I think my duper was maybe like a 4.1. I'm Better than that. I Think I'm better than that and I didn't see much fluctuation in my duper score with the old algorithm in the last year year and a Half, I mean it it wasn't really moving. I had so many games logged and I'm beating good players But now since the algorithm I think I'm up to almost a 4-6 just from a few weeks and playing these tournaments playing the Rocky Mountain Championships Tournaments playing the tournaments that we've had at the Pickler playing the events that we've had at the Pickler So it'll it'll happen the right way that the algorithm changes is sensing. Hey JP is not a 4-1 player He's doing really well against all these other players It's not beating them and then I'm seeing that reflection in my rating as we speak So, you know I've always just tried to do it the right way and have faith in the system and it will balance out I think this change how they changed it Is going to be better for the long run and a lot of people say it's similar to the old algorithm if you remember that From a few years ago. It is very similar to the old algorithm and we've got the data to prove that We've got the data to prove that you know, this is a better way to do it Well, if you need it, I mean you need to make sure you ask questions. I mean JP here is very knowledgeable Make sure where you're getting your duper. There's a lot of places saying hey you want to raise your duper They're putting you with four players and I'm telling you it's it's a mess It's just what you just said You got a four four four two you got a three two and you're trying to play these games that you're getting killed Well, I know I know that the duper events at the Pickler or you bring a partner and you stay with your partner Yeah, make sure that you're your partner. You're good with that But also when you go somewhere else they have a duper event where you just rotate partners and that's That's what I like to call and you know if you know me and you've been to any of my classes I call that the duper destroyer like I don't want to give away the playbook to all my business, but like Yes, if we're having a duper rated event and we're rotating partners And I'm playing a different game with someone different each time like that makes zero sense I don't know those people. I don't know their skill level So why in the world would I play a rated match with them? Like, you know, especially when we get up in levels, you know You people are identifying very quickly who the who the lower level player is in that game And oh, yeah, you know, they're they're targeting that person So you might not see a ball like it just just it doesn't make sense You know, if anybody has any questions reach out to me Find me on Instagram That's right. You are boy JP e Z on Instagram hit me hit me up. Send me a DM. Send me an email Pop into the pickler pop into any pickler here in Colorado. I mean, we're all educated on this stuff. We pride ourselves on it Yeah, it's just be careful. I mean you're your duper your duper is important. It's your rating So you want to make sure that you're going about it the right way? Well on duper I hate to say this but duper is taking over here. I mean, honestly duper is getting very large You don't have your duper, right? You're not you're not gonna have a lot of fun Well, which was the one that was a self rate? You just you'd sign any like I am a boop and you put it in there and yeah I'm not I don't know Yeah but I've seen a lot a lot of tournaments and and this is one thing that we do with our tournaments that you can expect from the Rocky Mountain Championship Series whether it Be you know RMC Steamboat or Grand Mesa I go I go through with Ricky and Chelsea and our whole team We go through each bracket and we make sure that everybody is in the right place And we may move you and I am NOT opposed to doing that Yeah, because I am NOT going to negatively affect a bunch of other players because you chose to sign up in the wrong bracket That's great Tournaments Generally, yeah, generally, they're gonna start, you know, you've got the 20 to 30 or 25 to 30 30 to 35 35 to 40 40 to 45 and then we have open divisions as well. So you want to qualify? Yeah It was three five and under so that would have been you Yeah, sometimes sometimes if you know, if we don't have the the numbers we've got a group people together But we're trying to do it in the best way possible To make sure that people have fun. When should somebody get dupers? So if I'm a beginner, right? What skills should they have before they get dupers? That's a great question. I think My personal opinion is you should get it. You should get a duper rating as soon as you feel comfortable That would be my best answer I've seen people say no. I want to get really good before I get a duper why it's just it's just data collection for me I would rather get a duper while I was newer get a rating at when I'm a 2.2 and then I get to watch it Grow, right here. I look at that There's gonna watch more than when you just come into being a 4.0 right you have your duper account. I don't why not Talking about that. Yeah, she's gonna come take my duper class and we're gonna get her situated and yeah, and it's individual like if you're doing a double each person has a duper right so like if I Am out there with my husband on a double Does the couple get duper at all or is it always just the two players individually individually and you're talking about getting the rating? Yeah, we're just in the class like or if you're playing and you're in doubles So say say I play like with Mike, right? He's right. You guys one of you guys got a big big duper or large duper My duper's massive. You've never seen one this big. My duper's average. My duper's a grower. My duper's a shower. All right, we got off. We got off topic. You have to have your both different dupers, right? You want to do individual dupers? Well, yeah, so so you like Mike what's your duper right now? I'm about 4'6". I'm 3'6". Dang, bro. Dang. I think it went up to 3'6". You just win a lot of wall ball. I was thinking about the roms. Where did he get that duper? Mike's duper's a grower. He's a quick grower too. He's on the rise. He's been doing his big dink energy. Big dink energy. I think I'm 3'6". So for you, if you got a rating, let's say your rating was a 2.5, it's highly unlikely that you two would be on the court together. It just doesn't make a lot of sense. So what it does is if you're playing doubles, obviously you want your partner to kind of be somewhere in your range. And it gives you an average. The algorithm expects you to score so many points against a partner based on their duper score. Or you're supposed to win by a certain margin. And if you play the game and you exceed that margin, your duper's going to go up. If you perform below that metric, it's going to go down. And you don't know what that metric is. But your question is, each person on the court has their own duper. There are no couple dupers. And then it's averaged, right? Before the bracket. I think you were worried about if it gets under, they take your paddle. Yeah, they compensate it. Do they kick you out of the tournament? Yeah, they kick you out of duper. Oh, you're a what? I don't even think we have a rating at 1.1. No, so yeah, that brings up a great point. So the rating scale goes from 2.0 to 8.0. 8.0, that's fast. 2.0 being the lowest, 8.0 being the highest. Is there anybody that's an 8? So this is a funny story actually. I've been teaching this duper class for a while now. And I've never in my life seen an 8.0. I think Ben Jones is arguably the best player in the world. And he's at like a 7.4. Something like that. And I always say I've never seen an 8.0 and I've never seen a 2.0. And I was teaching my duper class. She's sitting across from you right now. She doesn't have a duper yet. So I've never actually seen a 2.0. I could have made you. She could be a 2.2. I don't think she's an actual 2.0. So I'm teaching this class. Literally teaching this class one day. And this woman raises her hand as I'm saying that. I've never seen a 2.0. I've never seen an 8.0. And she goes, JP, I have a question. And I was like, okay. It's not really a question, but I'm a 2.05. And I said, no you're not. I said, bullshit. I've never seen a duper in my life that low. And she pulls up her duper. And I was like, oh my gosh. She's the bottom of the barrel. And so I screenshot it. And I took a picture with her. It's now hanging at the wall in Aurora Pickler. It's so funny. But I was really interested for my class. How did this happen? What happened to you? Tell me who hurt you and why. So she explained that she was at a facility here in Denver. I won't mention any names. And it was her first day ever playing pickleball. Ever. And she was on a Tinder date. You shut up, Tinder. So they decide, we're going to go to this facility and we're going to play pickleball. And it's going to be fun. Which is probably a great Tinder date. Unless you get the ick from people that aren't athletic. But they show up. And they've got their court. And the director, they're hosting a duper event that night on some of the courts. And the person running the club came over and said, hey, we've got this duper event. We need some extra players. Well, they got convinced to play. They have never played pickleball a day in their lives. And they got shredded. Obviously, they kind of felt bullied into playing in this event. They played a bunch of players that were way better than them. And they got absolutely destroyed. As you would. You've never played pickleball before. You don't even know the rules. It's just so insane to me that that would even happen. So she came out. They lost every match by a large margin. And she came out with a 2.05. This woman was almost in tears. And this is where we have to understand as facility owners, as operators of facilities, as ambassadors to pickleball, the things that you're doing to people in terms of their duper, it affects them. It might not affect you. And you guys know this, how I run my business. Money's great. I don't care about money. I care about my product and to do it with integrity. And I will turn away money to do the right thing every single time. I care about every person that walks in this door. I care about their duper. And I'm extremely invested in the fact that they leave my facility with a smile, having fun, and want to play pickleball again tomorrow. And this is why you're the GOAT, man. I don't know if I'm the GOAT. I just think this is the normal way that anybody should be. We just want to make sure that people you can't do that to people. So it goes again to just be aware of where you're playing. Be aware of that's why we teach this duper class and it's great because the people that don't have ratings they come take the class. You're going to get all this education about duper and then you're going to walk away feeling maybe not a duper expert but you're going to have a pretty good handle on exactly what duper is, and so when you go to those public courts and people are complaining about duper they're saying whatever they're saying you can say, no, I took a class at the Pickler I'm educated. This is actually how it works. Don't start an altercation with anybody about it. It's nice to be informed. So no altercations, huh? You're going to have a new pitcher though. It's not hockey. We would like it to be sometimes but it is just not hockey. I'm thankful because I wouldn't get a play I'd have to play 3-0, 3-5 all the time and it would be horrible I get to play the 4-0's because of you not that I don't mind playing, I love to help people and play, I'm just like you I'll play with the 2.0 Every once in a while But it's nice that you're allowed there's where you said the pain is I can't get it I have to go play now I have to build it, I understand that but at least when I want to play I can play the 4-0's When you're at the open plays, when you're practicing you can get those high level games in and you can build on your skill we just have to do it the right way so everybody understands the Duper algorithm did change now I think a lot of people are complaining that even if you win your score can still go down it's a possibility it does make sense and there are a lot of other sports that use an algorithm similar to this there's a lot of other ones badminton, padel as well over time if you step back and you look at it logically over time this is going to provide you with the most accurate rating possible if it was to adjust too fast it would be a big mess I can see it can if you do play right but I think it would be a giant mess if the algorithm really understands you that's what they're getting Duper's got over 8 million games 8 million games of data that they're looking at and they've got the numbers and this product is only going to get better but the old algorithm that it was before this was if you win you go up if you lose you go down and it didn't matter well let's say that I'm a 4-5 and let's say that I just go out and I play 3-5's all the time and I log those matches in Duper and if I do enough of them maybe I get to a 5-0 level am I a real 5-0? because I've been beaten up on 3-5's but then you play a 5-0 and you get destroyed there's always going to be issues on any side of it and it's never going to be perfect but if you look at it right now the way that they've got it we've got the data from previous we've got the data from the win and go up lose and go down and we understand what we need to do and you're going to a tournament you can always play up yeah you can play up to a certain point within moderation I think you just got to do it the right way and that's what we're trying to figure out how to do this the right way and how to make sure that everybody's taken care of including the people that are higher up you don't really want somebody at 2 points with all them and that's why I just won't allow that to happen you know at the Pickler or my Minor League Pickleball which we have one coming up in October if it's ok if I plug that absolutely we've got Minor League Pickleball coming up which is the greatest way to affect your rating because it holds the highest weight in the algorithm because Duper owns Minor League Pickleball we've got the first ever 3v3 gendered Minor League Pickleball event which is going to be held in Littleton Littleton Pickler so it's going to be the first tournament held at the Pickler Littleton October 18th and 19th and you can find that if you go to Swish and it should be on Pickleball tournaments soon so sign up for that, the way that it works it's just like the Minor League Pickleball format except there's 3 players to a team and all the players are the same gender so I'll have a men's division and a women's division and they're capped by Duper just like Minor League Pickleball so 3 men on a team everyone plays twice and there's no dream breaker so if you really just hate singles and a lot of people aren't great at singles this is the perfect opportunity to come out and still play the rally scoring of Minor League Pickleball and have all the fun but none of the singles if you were ever to think what a body looks like for doubles that's me I am not a singles player Greg Ballard built by doubles body built by doubles big right foot, body built by doubles that's right that's going to be super fun it's so fun everybody's cheering each other it's so fun and if you have a bad day your team supports you that's the hope and we've heard once you get up in levels it's just so hard to find the 2 females to put together my team maybe I get really nervous talking to girls you don't have to worry about it anymore if you're like me and you get really nervous talking to the ladies just get your team of 3 dudes the girlies get your team of 3 women you don't have to worry about playing with the dudes and we're going to battle it out Minor League Pickleball style it's going to be great this is the first one ever in Colorado October 18th and 19th at the Littleton Pickler shout out to Jen and her family the owners of that location for allowing us to host there we're super excited to show off their facility it's going to be amazing it's a big facility grand opening September 6th and you know founding memberships are still on sale as far as I understand tier 2 or 3 pricing so you can still get a discounted rate and if you're a founding member I think the facility is going to open it's on Thursday courts are done they're looking great we were there just a couple days ago we did a podcast over there I just actually signed up to play on Thursday I should do that I gotta get out there if I can find any time it's asking me for $20 I just have to pay $20 all day I think I'm not sure more to come on that if you go to the Pickler app type in Littleton and you can find out thank you Greg it wasn't for you specifically or follow them on Instagram follow the Pickler Littleton on Instagram Jen makes some great videos good content they hired a what was his name the other one that's going to do all that team Kevin he's going to what?
