All right, when I'm playing pickleball, and I need a drink, and I need to stop those cramping calves and thighs and quads, cramping whatever, I go to holyperformance.com, get some hydration, outstanding flavors, not too salty like a lot of the other brands, amazing flavors, great prices. They have a whole system. Go to holyperformance.com. Frickin' delicious. Thank you for tuning in. My name is Greg. I'm Mike. And I'm Chris Anderson. And we are the Pickleballers Mexico. Thanks for tuning in today. Today we are here at Peak Pickleball for the Peak Pro-Labs weekend-long, what is it, a clinic? It's a clinic. It's a clinic. And actually, it was really nice of Peak to have us in this clinic. I can always use a clinic. Definitely. I think there's, I don't know, six to ten coaches through the whole weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Thank you. Hello. Thank you. Thank you. So anyway, sorry, we got a little distracted, but we're out here to do this clinic and actually talk to some of the pros, talk to some of the players, coaches, so it's gonna be pretty exciting. And learn ourselves. I'm excited. Let me tell you. I don't know. We were trying to tech. You have to qualify. Now he's looking good in a t-shirt. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. So I've never done a clinic, so this will be a lot of fun. Yeah. I'm excited. It should be a lot of fun. Yeah, I need it. So I'm ready. Yep. I don't know what to expect. The brochure is pretty in-depth, and there's a lot of different things. A lot of people, a lot of different people teaching different things throughout the different days. So. Yeah. I think I'm gonna learn. I don't know. You guys, what do you think? We'll learn. But if you haven't been out here to Peak Pickleball, wow. What an establishment, huh? Yep. Definitely. In Colorado Springs. Yep. Yep. So we will check back in later. Yep. With the progress report. Bye. Bye. All right. Here we go. We're here with Ali and Nick. They are two of the pros here at Peak Pickleball. I think Nick actually is the head pro, correct? That is correct. Dang. Hi, guys. Yeah. Nice. Good working relationship. It is. Mixed partners and my boss. Why are you looking at me like that? Yeah. It depends who you ask. And who's the boss? Yes. Okay. Tony Danza. Who's the boss? I think I've now been downgraded to an admin assistant. He is a really good admin assistant. Oh, nice. He keeps my quarters going. That's awesome. Good for you. Good work. And you're good on the court? Mostly. I have a t-shirt that says, uh, 3-5 on the court, 5-0 in the sheets. Oh. Wow. Wow. All right. Did Kate get you that? Huh? Did Kate get you that? No. Yeah. It was good. I'm not even going to tell you who gave it to me because it's going to sound real bad. But anyways. Yeah. Give us a little lowdown. It's a dude. A dude gave it to me. Oh. I thought you were talking to me, Mike. Sorry. Give us a little lowdown of what this weekend looks like. You know, I think this camp came to fruition as I was sitting at MVP last year, saw a camp come there that had 32 participants in it. And there was one instructor. Oh. And I said, you know, we've got to look at doing a camp that, right? I don't think pickleball is played one way, right? There's a multitude of coaches, a multitude of styles. Paddles, shoes, how you stand. I mean, yeah. It's not like tennis or golf where you've got to have the suave swing, right? You figure it out. There's no one way to play. I said, let's bring in 10 instructors. Give them, give them, give them everyone, break down the game. And what a great thing, too. They're different perspectives of each coach, too, right? You all kind of have a little different way of playing. We just got to play with you, which, oh my gosh, these two are just bangers here. I am. I saw. No, not here. Greg and they were playing to hit each other, body bag. She missed me three times. Greg nasty Nelsoned me today. You know he body bagged me, so. Hold on, hold on. One of the public record. Push the mic down and talk into it. There we go. Greg nasty Nelsoned me today. Did he really? Oh my God. Did I? Did you? I did. Right center mass. And that's when we became friends. That's true friendship. And we would get nasty Nelsoned by someone. Yeah. They tried to nasty Nelson me a couple times, missed. Was that on the court? You tried? Oh yeah. During the game. During the game. It was like .5 or something like that. Yeah. Put us ahead. Actually, put us ahead. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it got in the mental game, too. No, but I've been selling, like, telling all my clients about this weekend for weeks now, of course. But I think the beauty of it, it's Nick's idea, Nick's baby, but that you get the best of everyone. So every, like, pro is teaching their thing. Yeah. So what is your thing? I love the backhand flick and the two-y backhand at the kitchen line. As you saw when we were playing together, we got a few winners off of that. So we're going to learn that tonight from you. I do love the backhand flick. Sometimes I mess it up. Sometimes. I cannot do two-y's. After this weekend, you'll be able to. I can do three-y's. You should see my three-handed backhand, Nick. It's pretty good. Have you seen it? I have not. That's what this weekend's about. It's impressive. Yeah, we're going to see it. It's impressive. So is there levels to this tonight? Is there different levels? 2.0, 4.0, 5.0? Yeah, so we've taken the players, we've put them into pods with hopefully light-skilled players just so over the weekend they're playing with light-skilled players. Okay. That helps. We've got anywhere from 2.5 to 4.5. Oh, shoot. Oh, we've got a problem already. That's high. So I have to play up? So I'm Greg-o. We'll create a pod for you. I'm Greg-o, Mike-o, and 2.0. So we might have to take her paddle tonight. She might not make it through this whole course. We might have to hang it up tonight. Maybe with all of their expertise. Maybe you'll become a 2.1. Yeah. 2.1. You never know. Maybe. Very possible. I think this is a challenge right here. Girl power. You're going to crush it. It's going to be awesome. So, Nick. Girl power. How are you doing, buddy? I feel better. You look bewildered right now. Bewildered, yeah? It's just the word of the night. Yes. Just a lot of work going into the weekend. Trying to make sure this runs smoothly. I heard that. Are you sure? You have enough courts? I heard that. Do you know how many people are coming tonight? We've got 60. 60. That's awesome. Even with 10 coaches. That's significant. We turned down a few late this afternoon. Well, we've got an extra spot if you want. There we go. There we got one. Yeah. Wow. I'm really sad. Nick, what are you teaching? I'm going to teach the roll drop on the fly. I'm going to teach the roll drop on the fly. I'm going to teach the roll drop on the fly. I'm going to teach the roll drop on the fly. I'm going to teach the roll drop on the fly. Nick, what are you teaching? I'm going to teach the roll drop on the forehand and backhand. That's awesome. Okay. Nice. He's pretty good at it. On the forehand and backhand. That's correct. Nice. Can't be one dimensional in this game. No, you definitely can't. I'm just making sure I heard that right. Who's teaching the no look? That'd be you. I'm going to assign you a pod and lab tonight. I got Ali on a no looker today. He did. He tricked me. Hooked her up too. Hooked her up big time. He was on the lowest percentage shot and got it. What is a no look? He was looking to the left and they hit it to the right. Oh, wow. So we need to watch him. He tricked her. Yeah, he's a tricky. He's at your lab for the weekend. No looker. No looker. Yeah. Yeah, that'll be my lab for the night. That's his lab. Yeah. If you see me do it, shove me into the laboratory. I know it's a low percentage shot. I just had to try it. You have to. Yeah. Go big or go home. So what do you expect tonight? What do you... Everybody just... They're going to... You're just helping everybody get better and are you excited about this being the first time here at Peak with it? I'm thrilled. Yeah. This came to fruition probably back in March and it's taken a lot of work with the team here. Yeah. So thank you with players like Allie and some of the staff here, we're taking flight tonight. Yeah. Taking flight tonight. I call him my non-verbal gerbil friend. I would go with that. You guys are already doing so good. Wide gerbil friend. What rhymes with verbal? Verbal gerbil. Gerbil. So yeah, non-verbal. Verbal. I'm just saying there's better words. You guys are already doing great getting him to talk this much. Yeah. No, he's... I'm most excited tonight because Nick has planned a roast of all the pros. Oh. Are you going to roast them? I am going to roast them. Oh. They are unaware this is taking shape though. Oh, very nice. We were watching you in Steamboat. You guys play well. Yeah. You were playing really well. You guys play doubles. Yeah. You do? Yeah. Yeah. And you went to Vegas, right? Last week? How was that? I went with a different guy to Vegas. Oh. Cheating on you, Nick. What's up with that? Pickleball cheating. No. Nick couldn't go due to family obligations. Oh, my God. Another awesome 5.0 player in town went with me. How'd you do? I had a rough time in qualifying. I learned a lot. I got to meet Tyson McGuffin in person. That's cool. So I was over the moon because... How was that? I think he's amazing. He's not shorter than me. So that was like a super happy surprise. Yeah. He's surprisingly taller than he looks. Yeah. People always were like, oh, you're going to tower over him and be Shrek. And I wasn't. And he was really nice. Shrek? Why'd they say Shrek? I don't know. Because towering over him wasn't enough? I guess. That's messed up, man. People are mean. People are mean. Not girls, though. Yeah. Yeah. We're the nice side of the table, I think. She kept telling me on the court, like, girls are mean. She'd make a decent shot and she'd be like, girls are mean. Yeah. Watch this. When it goes past you, Greg, is it a decent shot? I think that's a good shot. Yeah. It's okay. Nice. But anyway, back to you. You're going to give... You're going to show a little... Show some pros, some pro stuff, huh? You know. Absolutely. I got it. I like it. So can you give us a little taste? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Can you give us a little detail? Like, if we're quiet and we don't tell them? You know, I'm not going to take too many stabs. Keep it close to the vest. You know, we're going to be a little ginger with it. But... Oh. You know. We'll take stabs where we can. Just for those of you that don't know, Allie's a fiery ginger. Yeah. You know, I'm known as the coyote on the court. I'm a little bit of a trickster. I like that fun. Nice. Nice. That's what this game is so much about. That's what it's all about, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I like that fun. That's what this game is so much about. That's what it's all about, right? So, in the event of everything that's happened over the past week, let's come out. After all, we're smacking it with a ball around, right? Oh, yeah. That is true. Let's have some fun. Smile. Let's come out. This is a good time. I'm going to tell you. Typically, after 6pm, I am a pumpkin. I am the worst player ever. So, maybe I should be in your level. So, maybe I need to... That's good, because maybe I need to... Switch this to a round. That was good. Yeah. That's the pumpkin pounder pot. So, you have one, then. You've got it for Greg, right? That's a good one. You know what? I'm going to make a t-shirt. Pumpkin Pounder Crew. Oh, my gosh. It better be on you tomorrow morning. Well, I mean, that's quick, bro. That's quick. Things are closing down. Things close down in Colorado Springs at like 8 o'clock, right? I think we've got a Sharpie around here. We've got a Sharpie. There's a Walmart next door. Let's make it happen. Let's do it. I'm going to make it for him. I'll have it for him tomorrow. Pumpkin Pounder Crew. I'd wear it. I'm not afraid. I'd wear it with the Pickle Man logo. There you go. Because, come on. How cool would that be? Pumpkin Pounder Crew. Yeah. Yeah. Might get the wrong response from someone. But, yeah. This is awesome, though. I mean, I know this is a lot of work. I mean, anything you do with this. And to get people. And I'm sure how many times you had to explain to everybody and wed and collect money. I mean, it's not fun. It's a lot of work. It is a lot of work. Yeah. But, hopefully, the reward pays off. You know? 60 people. That's pretty good. That's really good. We're excited. Yeah. I mean, we're part of the crew. So, we're excited. We're excited to see. So, we're really 57. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's rough. Yeah. So, let's end on this. I'm looking forward. We're all looking forward to this. Yes, we are. But, I'm admiring your bracelet. What does it say? Tickle my pickle. Hell, yeah. So, come on down to Peak and check out this Peak ProLabs this weekend. It's full. But, come check it out anyways. Watch us. See what's going on. Yeah. Be ready for the next. That's right. Come see Nick. Tickle his pickle. We already got the next one in the works. There'll be some more. Nice. Some more fun. Oh, yeah. Nice. Sounds good. Thank you, guys. We are here with Nathaniel. Oh, yeah. He's one of our compadres at this Peak ProLabs. He's number one. Number one. First to check in. I'm number two. So, it's going to be careful. Yeah, I'm three. He smells like a number two. Hey. Hey. Hey. Uh-oh. But, how are you doing today? I'm doing good. Yeah? Are you looking forward to this? Yeah. Yeah? What are you looking forward to? Just learning and just having fun. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just learning and, like, getting to see the players that are better than you and stuff. Nice. Yeah. You're out there doing some drilling. I've seen that. You look good. You're pretty good, huh? Compared to her, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're good. This chair is better. I mean. Oh. Wow. That's rough. What? You can say it. That's rough. That was rough. That's mean. That was mean. I was joking. You know what? I'm looking forward to that day. I would be happy. I know. Yeah. How many people have you body bagged? You've body bagged your dad, right? Yeah. A lot of the time. Most of the body bags are unintentional. Yeah. Are they? Why? They either hit the net or they just missed the ball. But see these guys? They're not. No. This one's not. They intentionally do it. Do you know what his license plate says? Body bagger. It is. Yeah. It's a real thing. It's an addiction. So last week, we interviewed a kid who all he did was talk trash to me on the podcast. He was like, let's go out on the court. I'm going to body bag you, blah, blah, blah. I was like, all right, let's go. He recorded it, too. Guess who got two body bags on him? Kid. No, I got him. I got him. He missed. And a nasty Nelson. Ooh. Have you had a nasty Nelson anywhere? I tripled up on him. My dad. Oh, my God. So everything to your dad, right? Everything. Yeah. Nice. Did he get hurt? Did he get kind of upset? No. He just looked at you. He just lost his mind, because it didn't hit him. He just hit it with his paddle. He hit it with the paddle, and then he won the point. Tried to pretend it didn't happen. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I know how that works. Yeah. How old are you? 11. 11. 11. How long have you been playing? A year and a half. Nice. And you said you were at about a 3.8-ish? 3.8, 4.0. Nice. Ooh, shoot. I've been told I'm around a 4.0. I've been told I'm around a 4.0. I've been told I'm around a 4.0. That's way higher than me. Honestly, that's higher than me right now. So we can't play with you. Sorry. I probably don't play that high. But that was just a long time ago. That was, like, a month or two ago. Nice. And they told me that. So I'm probably now a 4.2. 4.0. Nice. Nice. What is it that you want to learn? What's the number one thing you'd like to learn here today that evolved? And you can say it. You can say it. You can say it. You can say it. You can say it. You can say it. You can say it. You can say it. You can say it. You can say it. You can say it. What is it that you want to learn? What's the number one thing you'd like to learn here today that evolved? And you, because you kind of know where all the different classes, right? We'll let them think that. We'll let them think that, Dad. I'm looking forward to... I don't remember all the things on the list, but probably my backhand drop and drive and stuff. Nice. My two-handed backhand drive is not going very well right now. It used to be a lot better, but it somehow just, like, went down and not up. Isn't it weird to take a ball of one day you're doing well, and then next thing you can't serve or do anything? That's one shot I've never been able to do is two-handed backhand. Yeah, it's super hard. After tonight. You ever done two-handed forehand? Yes. I used to do that, and then somebody told me it wasn't the right thing to do. I have a three-handed backhand. It's pretty good, too. Well, this is awesome. Yeah, well, Nathaniel, thank you so much for being on. Thank you. Looking forward to being out there with you. Yeah. We'll talk about the price for the body bag. Yeah. All right. We'll see you out there, Nathaniel. All right. Have a good night. Bye. Bye. We are here with Scott Wilson, owner of Peak, master of this Peak Pro Labs. Beautiful facility. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. I am not the master of it. That's Nick. I just pay the bills. Well, we thank you for having us come down to do this podcast on this. This is great. Oh, I love you guys. So this is easy. This is easy. I wish the people out there had to look at you. I mean, we were talking about it earlier. Face for radio. That's it. Face for podcast. It's the absolute truth. Wow. It's the absolute truth. It is the truth. Fine. I'm not talking about you, Chrisanne. Wow. These two ugly ones. You're beautiful. She covers a lot of it. I'm going to look this way. You put some of those blinders on. Yeah. That would look this way. You'd get ugly. But, yeah, this is great. I love it because it's a fundraiser, and at the same time, we're able to do something really cool. You know, the money that we're taking in from this is going into the nonprofit, and then that makes it where we can provide court time. We've talked about it before for single moms, single dads, couples, veterans, people that need help, and we can provide that. You know, that's our philosophy, that's our heart here at PEAK, is we don't want anyone not to be able to play pickleball because of finances. That's a terrible reason, right? It's horrible, yeah. And so, you know, how am I going to have a single mom come? Well, I had a lady yesterday that came to me, and she said, I ask you a question, she said, I got a friend, she works three jobs, she's got two kids. I was like, by the time she got, she didn't even have to ask the question, I was like, yes. Right? That's great. There's no way. She needs a life besides all of that. She needs to be able to exercise so she can have that time to... Have a break. Yeah, blow some stress so she doesn't blow it on her kids, right? It is. When you walk on a court, you get to lead the world for a little bit. Yeah, and it is, and that's what's the magic of this game, right? It really is. It is. You walk out there, and it's like the world goes away for however long you're on the court. Hopefully, if you like to play a lot, six, eight hours. Yeah. Right. It's a drug. It's a drug. It does go the opposite way on you. So, I'm tired, but I want to play one more. One more. Just one more. Come on, guys. And everybody does that. All right, one more. One more. All right. Come on, man, one more. No, I can't. Come on. All right. It's like a fiend. It's always the winner, too, though, right? Oh, I bet he's playing really well, and you're ready to leave. No, I'm always like, I can't leave like this. Yeah. So, I got to lose one more time. Yeah. We are so happy to be here, though, and thank you for bringing us on. It's a great cause. Absolutely. Yeah. And I think the other thing we found out from your coaches here, or your pro, is that, you know, you went to one of these doing somewhere else, and there was one or two coaches for all these people. There's 30 people. You brought in 10 people. Yeah, 10 people. You've got 10 people for this. We have 10 pro instructors. We've got 10 coaches. We've got 10 coaches. We've got 10 coaches. We've got 10 coaches. We're going to have a 6-on-3, and it's going to be an intense weekend. You guys are about to level up your game, man. I like it. Yeah. I'm looking forward to that. Did you hear that? I got to level up my game. Well, neither of the coaches are going to be on your court. I wanted you guys to do this. That's so funny. I wanted you guys to do this so I could watch you suffer for the next two days. I'm looking forward to it. I'm a glutton for punishment. Yeah. So, it's three hours tonight, right? And then it's seven hours tomorrow, and then a mixer tomorrow night at the Hotel Palazzo. Oh, my gosh. Nice. And then get ready. Four more hours on Sunday morning. We love it. We're ready. Well, I am. I'm already tired. Oh, I'm already dragging. And we got you. I'm already dragging. I've been playing since 11 this morning. Oh, wow. With Allie. With Allie? Yeah. She's rough. She's a rough one to play with. Wow. Every time she hits the ball, I check my paddle to see if there's a hole in it. Or a hole in you, you know? She hits the ball hard. She hits it hard. Yeah, she crushes it. She's got the power. She's a serious pickleball player. So, no, I'm excited to see you guys. I want to see how you go through this. I think this is a great experience. Clinics are awesome. You learn so much. And you have to figure out how to do things different in your game. I see so many people from being here that don't work on their game enough. Hey, right there. You need to come here. We're going to put this guy on. Scott Moore. Here's some headsets. Hi, Scott. How are you? Amazing. How are you? Here we go. Here's the man right there. Scott Moore. Scott Moore, just stepping in. I am a man. I am a man. I don't know about the demon. You're a legend because you're in the Hall of Fame, baby. Oh, that's awesome. Wow. Some people go in the front door and others slip in the back door. Now, this guy right here. I'll tell you what. We talked before about bringing the wheelchair thing here. And a lot of it is due to Scottie. Let me tell you. This guy is my friend. He's my brother. Since the day I met him, we were kindred. We're both named Scott. That's why we're handsome. But I can't say enough about this man right here. What a blessing he is in my life. What a blessing he is to the pickleball community. And he was not supposed to be here this weekend. Yep. Nice. And here you are. I like it. I like it. Camp in Prescott got postponed. He called me up and said he could have just blown it off, gone to dinner with his wife. But he was like, no. I'm in. I'm in. I want to be here. I do want to be here. I'm excited. Give us a little background of yourself. So, I am a racket sport junkie. Been playing racket sports all my life. These are called paddles. That's my happy, yeah, paddle racket. I started with ping pong, table tennis. But anyway, that was a paddle too. But 13 years ago, at a low point in my life called Empty Nest, when I wasn't sure what I was going to do with myself, a friend of mine named John Foss said, Scott, come play pickleball with me. I'm like, pickleball? That doesn't sound like a lot of fun. But he said, paddle and a ball. I said, all right. Let's do it. You know, I like that. So, we played fairly innocuous. I, you know, I didn't really think that much about it. But I had been praying, you know, what is the next season of life going to look like for me? Yeah. And about a year later, my prayer was answered. A friend of mine asked me to play in nationals at the pickleball tournament. And I said, there's a national pickleball tournament? You got to be kidding me. So, we went down to Buckeye, Arizona, ended up in the senior pro division, first tournament. We got a silver medal. Wow. Wow. That's amazing. And lost the first round. And you were hooked. I was addicted. Yeah. I couldn't sleep at night. I knew I was going to be a national champion and would become the best senior player in the world. And I was able to do it. That is awesome. That's amazing. So, sometimes God answers your prayers beyond what you can expect or imagine. And I just feel so blessed to be part of this absolutely incredible best ever sport. And what I love about this guy is the platform, that platform that God gave him, that when he got up there, he has not wasted that platform. He uses that for great things, for God things, and for just when we talked about doing this wheelchair thing, we're going to have the world championships of wheelchair pickleball here next year. And Scott, he's a driving force behind that. I mentioned it. He said, let's do it. And so, Scott and Scott are going to tackle this thing. We got some good people along with us. We're going to make this happen. Yeah, it's one of my favorite, actually most meaningful pickleball experiences ever. I was at the U.S. Open in 2021, age 59. I won senior pro and mixed senior pro, beating the 50-year-olds. Next day, I walk on the court, the wheelchair guys were playing. They go, Scott, come get in. I'm like, oh, okay. So, I get in and we play a game. I mean, in a chair. Put him in a chair. Put him in a chair, right? So, I was really good when they hit me with the ball. Yeah. But when you got to wheel that thing, spin, go back, try to hit it. I mean, it was awful. So, I got beat. I go up to the net, wheel up there, and the guy across looks at me, got a big smile on his face. He goes, nice game, turtle. Oh, damn. Nobody's called me a turtle my whole life. I was laughing my head off. So, I played with them for another 15 minutes. They were coaching me how to move the thing. I wheel out and I start walking off. I look back and these guys are so joyful. They're having the time of their lives out there. And I realized, I'm walking out of here and they never will. What am I complaining about? It changed my perspective. So, every time I'm having a bad day on the pickleball court, I think about those guys. They gave me inspiration. So, when Scott came up with the idea to have the wheelchair, I said, I'm in. Dude, we love it. That's awesome. Yeah, we're excited to have you do that. Yeah, we are. It's awesome. And these guys, they've committed to me. They're going to get in. They're going to back us. They're going to get the word out. We're going to pump this thing. It's going to be amazing. Now, we are looking for a sponsor. So, anybody that hears this, we need a national sponsor because the thing we're talking about and we're trying to get moving on is the thing that we're committed to. I want to make sure that they – it costs everybody so much. They have to pay the same amount to get in tournaments. It costs them 10 times more to get there. Oh, yeah. And so, we said, we don't want to charge them. They just need to get here for this tournament. And the other thing I find out is that the wheelchair folks, they never get any of the purse. They don't get purses. There's never a purse. So, we're looking for a company, a national company or somebody that wants to step up and say, we'll put $50,000 up as a purse. Wow. All that money, those big checks, they're going to go to those people. We're not taking a penny of it. So, you can be guaranteed that any company that wants to step in and join us in this and be that sponsor, the money that you put up for sponsorship, it's directly going into the hands of people you can help. So, I'm thrilled about that. It is. That's awesome. That's a great thing. Yeah. For sure. I mean, why would you not? Why would you not do this? You know what I mean? This is awesome. Yeah. It's absolutely my favorite pickleball event. Let's call it that. And do you have an idea when this is? June of next year. We've got to talk. We've got a couple of things. We're struggling getting dates. We're struggling for a date, but we'll get one. We're going to get it hammered down. And you guys also, change the subject a little bit, you're going to need to talk to Stephen, his son. He's going to be our keynote speaker tonight here at this deal. Nice. But Scotty and Stephen and his family, his other sons, they started pickleball trips. Oh, nice. Oh, yeah. They started to do these pickleball trips. And what I love about, this guy is just stupid amazing. I was honored to be close to him. Give me a big hug. But he started this thing. They go out and they do these trips, but they take you to all these different countries. But when you go there, it's just really different because what they do is they get you into the culture, right? You play, you go to Japan, they arrange games to play with Japanese people. That would be awesome. How cool is that? It blows people's minds because they can't communicate. But on a pickleball court, it's absolutely beautiful. It's almost like they're speaking the same language. A body bag is a body bag. Body bag is a body bag. And a friend is a friend. A friend is a friend. And so pickleball is the great encounter maker. And we've had encounters with people all over the world, done 20 countries, 100 trips. And people come back and go, that was one of the best experiences of my life. So we give them an experience-centric, culturally-based, phenomenal experience on whatever country we're in. We've done 20 and counting. Wow. How exciting. That sounds fun. Yeah, it sounds like pickleballers don't need to be on one of your trips. I haven't been invited yet. What? Oh, wow. Open invitation. What do you mean? Come on. You're a little busy. I've been a little busy. I mean, you've got something like this going on, right? Yeah, you've got 83,000 square feet of courts to take care of. Right, right. But we're going to get him someday. I'm committed to getting him on a trip. That's great. I want to do it. My wife wants to do it. And where do people find that website? Pickleballtrips.com. Perfect. Pickleballtrips.com. We'll check that out. Pickleballtrips.com. Yes, sir. Thank you. Yeah, we'd like to talk to you a little bit more. This is great. Absolutely. I want to get Stephen, his son. Yeah, Stephen will be here. Stephen kind of runs it. He's kind of taken over and kind of making it happen. Yeah. Oh. Is that how that happens? Yeah. I started it, and now I work for him. Nice. I figured it out now. I think he's smarter than me, I guess. But maybe the next one, tomorrow night or whatever, when we're at the Hotel Flair, we'll pull Stephen in and have him explain some more about that. Sounds good. People love it. And these guys are such great instructors. Yeah, we love to teach. So it really combines everything we're passionate about, pickleball, travel, culture, great food, and just making new friends. We love great food. The greatest sport ever. Well, I like this because we've talked to a few people that do similar things, but basically they just take you somewhere, and here's a court, and have a good time. That's it. The other ones are basically resort-centric. They go to an all-inclusive resort, and they can eat and drink all they want to, and they do. And never get pickleball. And everything else is gravy. Never go on the court, right? Yeah, the pickleball is the secondary. And they take as many people as they can get. Yeah. We take no more than 16, so it's a boutique, semi-private experience. Way to go, John! We become friends. Oh, John! John! Pass on the back. Anyway. He's turning rad. All right. Anyway, so that's the difference. I love it. 16 people. It's very small, and very intimate. And do you go on them all the time? I go on about a third of them. We have one of our family at each trip. My oldest son, Daniel, and I started it. He's a seven-time national champion, was the best player in the world for two years from 2014 to 2016. Amazing. And went to start pickleball in Japan. Now it's booming all over Asia, and he's right at the forefront of that. Wow. That's amazing. And my other two boys are both pros. They don't play professionally, but, you know, pro-level players. Right. Well, we are lucky to get you on this, Mike. This is awesome. Yeah. Wow. We've got a treasure here. Thank you guys. Thank you guys. Wow. And I would say it that way. Look at him. I would call that a treasure. Oh, yeah. He's been buried for a long time. So look at that buried treasure there. It's in there somewhere. In his shovel. Well, thank you so much. Yeah, my pleasure. Thanks, guys. We're going to be here all weekend. Awesome. I'll hang out with you again. Heck, yeah. I'm a ham. I like to eat ham, so we're good. We're good. Thank you, guys. All right. Thanks, guys. Thanks for stopping by, buddy. All right. Well, thank you again. You are incredible having us here. Every time we get around you, it's better and better. Well, we're going to have a lot of fun. Yeah. And I'm anxious to see you guys going through this this weekend. I want to see. You know, this is your first clinic, your first experience. Yeah. And I want to see. I want honest feedback. Oh, yeah. On, on how this is going. I'm a little nervous, actually. That's good. That's good. That means you're, you're, you're ready to go. I like it. People need to do this stuff. I mean, you can play. It's like working out or and you play pickleball. If you keep just playing pickleball, you really don't get better. And you start, you play with kind of the same level, same level, same level. Yeah. And you think you're getting better. Then you don't. And you think you're getting better and you play like a slug. Right? But you still keep going. You're still going. things like this. You're gonna love it. You need. And we're going to be doing this again in the spring. Oh, yeah, we'll be a little bit later, but as long as we get to get the bubble, let's get, let's get views, have another pro labs, so if you missed out on this, uh, we'll, we'll have, uh, we're gonna do it again and again and again. Because I really believe a one in the, the, the, um, the mission that we're raising the money who were raising the money for, but two, I really believe in these guys, these pros that are here. They have a gift, they can teach. And I really believe in the fact that, that putting one or two on the court is not enough. We let's, let's get, uh, the ratio down and let's get people working with these pros. So they really, really can get, and this is a grind weekend. It is going to be intense. Well, I love it. I like you call it a lab too. I think that's pretty neat too. I thought that was ingenious. Well, I'm going to, I'm going to, uh, I'm going to admit, uh, uh, wisdom and genius where it goes. My son who works for me here, uh, cord, uh, he came up with that. He called it the one to call it the peak pro labs. And he did that little, isn't that cool? That is awesome. There he is right there. There's the van. He did it. Hey, sit down. Come on down. This is my son cord. I was just telling him, I was just telling him that, uh, you're guilty. You're the one guilty for calling. They said they'd love the labs. I think that's like really cool. And then this, this, this here. Yeah. It was like the beaker. It's really awesome. And the pickleball. Yeah, yeah. That was fun. Awesome. He designed all that. He came up with calling it lab. Why'd you do that? Uh, well, no, that was more of Nick's idea. I was trying to give him, I came up with a design, but like, the design is beautiful. I mean, I'm not very, I'd give myself like a three Oh three, five, you know, Hey, he's a 2.0. Would you take her out? Oh no. I don't know about that. I'm not that good. Well, he started working for me, so he hasn't had time to, we never get a break. He never lets me stop. I just have to work constantly. And I, and it's a good dad. He's my son. I can work in time. That's the problem about working for family. Yeah. He got me on salary as soon as possible. And he was like, yeah, you just keep working 20 hour days, baby. Yeah. This is what you get. The lab. Thanks guys. Appreciate that. I think it's better than, you know, some training thing. It's the lab. And it makes sense. Yeah. That's, that's at least for Nick. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure he's already talked about it, but like, you know, it's, it's a, it's all the, all the clinics we were looking at just seemed to have one instructor two instructors. But then they were like, well, now there's 10 12 people per, that's just not good. Like class to student ratio or teacher to student ratio. So and then Scott likes to do everything big. So it's like, well, we're starting to realize, how do we, how do we do that? And so we started pulling some instructors together and there's like, well, Hey, like tell them to bring a clinic or something that they like and we'll call it labs and we'll call it a lab for them. And here we are. Look at the studio he's built though. Look at this place. Yeah. Yeah. Come on. I'll let's have 10 courts. Most guys are like, yeah, no, we let it go. Again, credit where credit's due. This, this guy, my boy, I love him, man. When I went to do this, I knew what I wanted. I can, I could see it, but I'm not, I'm not able to put those things down. Court 3d modeled this whole thing. He measured it out, got everything, 3d modeled it. And then it was because of him, I was able to say, well, I want this here. I want that there. You know, we had an architectural drawing, but we didn't have any 3d model. We couldn't see the colors before we ever built it. The colors that we have, this, this, this Miami dolphins Aqua that we use. I mean, all the way down to the carpet, to the flowering, the wood. And like, I mean, I could show you like our first website had all of our renderings. That's awesome. Yeah. That's awesome. Because before we didn't have the buildings. It's pretty nice. It's a fun little project. Yeah. I enjoy it. So yeah, I'd love to have a conversation because when we were in your office today, we were noticing the pictures of, you know, taking out the escalator and I go, I'm in construction for 40 years. I was like, I know that was no fun. Yeah. Maybe. Yeah. That was a job. Yeah. Escalators are crazy. Well, you guys, you guys have done a great job. I mean, you drew this. I mean, wow. Thank you. Yeah. Really nice. Good time in it. And yeah, I think it came out beautifully. Yeah. We've been, we go everywhere and this is probably the nicest facility we've ever seen in our life. I appreciate that. Yeah. No, we plan to do more. We certainly do. Hopefully we, this works out really well. We get to keep expanding and you'll certainly be seeing more from me. I'm sure if you guys keep coming around, we'll get to have some greater conversations. We're family here now. Absolutely. That is absolutely. We'll be at some of the dinners. We're going to be working night and day. Oh, that's right. Family. Don't take the salary. Don't take the salary. Don't take it. Well, we thank you guys for being on. We thank you for having us here. We look forward to doing this and we will, uh, we'll definitely report back. Okay. I'm anxious to see it. Thank you. I just want to say thank you to A Sweet Sip for supporting the podcast.
