Fast games, big energy, unreal food and drinks, and a place where your mood lifts the moment you walk in. Get ready, Denver. Mood Swing is coming soon. Hi guys, this is Christana. I'm Mike. And we are here with the guys from Mood Swing. We got Colton Cartwright, we got Nicholas Dalton, and we got Giovanni Leon. That's a mouthful. I like that name. It was really good. So how are you guys doing today? So far so good. Nice, nice. So tell us about what Mood Swing is, because not everybody has heard about Mood Swing. Where did this originate from? Well, let's go back to the very beginning. And so this was, what, summer of 2021. My father-in-law took me out to play this what seemed like a silly game. Like I grew up playing tennis, played racquetball, but had never really heard of pickleball. And so we grabbed some paddles on Amazon for, what, 20 bucks and went out and played that afternoon. And that was my first experience. It was super fun, but that was kind of the end of it. And then like eight months later, one of my good friends and partners on the project, Justin Riley, he and I went and did a golf lesson. And then like on the way back, we're like, you know what, let's just go. I don't know, I don't even know what prompted this, but went over and showed up at the park by my house. And there were 60 people surrounding these four courts. So more people off the court than actually on the court. Sitting on their coolers, having a beer, like super social, very welcoming. And we were like, all right, now what do we do? And so they kind of showed us, oh, hey, you put your paddle in the fence here and kind of showed us the ropes. And, you know, the rest is kind of history. It's done. I mean, you got the bug. Once you get the bug, it's done. Yep. And so I'll pass it over to Gio as, you know, he and Justin had worked together for quite some time. And so they already talked about working on something. Yeah. Similarly, had never heard of the sport before. Had worked with Justin for, oh, I mean, probably almost a decade at this point. And was running his other spot in Proper City down in Rhino. And we had talked about maybe opening a new location. Wasn't really sure what it's about. And he's like, you got to meet my friend Colton. You got to come play pickleball with us. And I was like, what the hell are you talking about? I just want to make some drinks and some food. I don't I don't know what we're talking about. But similarly, took me to that same park. Again, huge atmosphere. Ton of people hanging out. Everybody having a good time. Showed me the ropes. Some people took it easy on me. Some people didn't take it easy on me. And, yeah, just kind of fell in fell in love with it. Yeah. And then you couldn't stop either. Right. Yeah. And it's like every night, you know, we're here working super late and we have to end the night with with at least a game or two. We see the footprints walking around. There's footprints. Wondering why there were so many of those. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They're construction boot footprints. That's what we're here to play pickleball with them. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. We've got to get a video of that one. So and you, how did it go? My name is Nick Dahlman. I'm the chef here opening up, cooking all the pizzas. And, yeah, started what met with these guys 18 months ago, probably for the first time. They asked me to come on board and help with pizza. Had played pickleball a few times with my father at this point up in Boulder. And, yeah, I finally they kept kept telling me, you know, got to play pickleball. I got to play pickleball. And I finally finally bought a paddle and jumped in. And it's been, you know, I try to play five days a week now. That's it. Yeah. And now that's not fair. I haven't been able to play as much as you, Mike. I play every day. All the time. Every day. I could almost every day. I got to go visit people. Right. How do I get this podcast set up? I don't go play some pickleball doing some marketing. I mean, we're going tonight. Yeah, we're going tonight. So I've actually just started Padel. So have you ever heard of Padel? Totally. This is the new. Are you going to add a court? We thought about that. You know, we held off to start. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you got room. It's crazy. It's not. Yeah. It's the number one sport, I think. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's great. I just got my first lesson last week. So I'm just adding it because I love pickleball, but I used to be a racquetball player. So you give me walls. I like this. Now I get to use the walls. Even though pickleball is still the best. It is good. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Growing up, I played tennis and then we had racquetball. Racquetball. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Padel ball. That was a big West game. I used to play paddleball growing up and it was like a Venice Beach sport. Everyone on the boardwalk played paddleball. My dad used to play that way back. Oh, yeah. That's where I found pickleball. I was in Southern California. I was at Venice Beach. They're all playing. I'm like, what are you doing? Then I was in I was up in Florida. Same thing. But at this time, people weren't really talking about it. It was like kind of you were you were either in it or you were not in it. And I tried to find out. So they finally built some courts where I live. And I'm like, OK, I want to play this. And I thought I was going to have to make a shirt. Can I please play, you know? And finally, some club opened in Westminster, an indoor club, the first one that opened. And I went there and did a lesson. Don, you know, four years later, I can't stop. Well, and I think the biggest thing for me, I mean, what this is April 22. And so like work from home, people are kind of coming out of the pandemic. Like, how do you socialize? What's a, you know, yeah. Face to face interaction just kind of felt foreign. Yeah. It was just such a natural icebreaker. Yeah. Like such a welcoming community. Also, I can get my butt kicked by, you know, an eight year old. Absolutely. Yeah. You don't know what you're walking. And when you go when you go through those gates and you get in that court, you don't know. Those kids are so good. Oh, my God. Right. Yeah. They are amazing. And I play some of these young guys, you know, I'm an older guy. And they're like, OK, you know, we're going to get him out of here quick. Nope. Body bagging. So a lot of fun, though. What a place you put together here, though. I mean, from but go back a little bit, because I when I we talked first, this was a plumbing warehouse for you, which you were probably going. How are we going to do this? Yeah. I mean, so the building next to us was the first building that was built back in the early 50s. So sawtooth roof construction, which is so pretty, though. Oh, yeah. I don't like that anymore. But like so much natural light, so much character. And so, you know, that's like that's a great spot, right? OK, cool. We can do pizza in a bar there. But then where do we play pickleball? And so fortunately on this site, then right next door is that that high bay building that allows for enough clearance because a lot of these, you know, pickleball spots, you still can, you know, hit your ball up into the ceiling pretty easily. But, you know, we're we're over 20 feet. It's awesome. Yeah, there's a nice thing. There's a lot some lobbying going on here. I love the lobby. Giovanni is supposedly the best lobber west of the Mississippi. But yeah, so, you know, we were looking all around town for over over a year and we got close on a couple of different spots, but nothing quite sat like this where we could pull off an awesome bar atmosphere, coffee program, coworking, all that in one space that's totally separated off. You know, we can roll up our garage door, open some other doors to, you know, connect the two spaces. But if we want, we can totally separate these things off so you can have your, you know, whatever experience outside of pickleball. But hey, we can quickly open it up. And if you want to play some pickleball with an event or with some friends, you know, it's right next door. And then it also allows over 125 parking spots, six outdoor courts. Like it is kind of a campus. What a general area, too. I mean, actually, it's pretty easy to get from anywhere to it, really. I mean, honestly, you can't. I mean, there are freeways in Colorado. It doesn't matter where you are anymore. You're in traffic. But it's welcome to L.A., you know, but it is it's easy to get to. I mean, I came in from 270. I've come in from I-70. I've cut through the middle, you know, down by D.U. and it takes 20 minutes to get here. Yeah, it's nothing. It's very accessible. And yeah, like from Rhino, it's what, eight minutes. Coors Field's like eight minutes. Park are like 28 minutes. So it's not bad. Yeah, but but you have so much to offer when you get here. It's not somewhere you're just coming in to stop. You're going to be here for a while. You're going to hang out with your friends. You're going to have a good pizza. That pizza oven. Oh, my gosh. I mean, we haven't tried it yet. It looks good. You know that. I hear everybody else has tried it. We'll see how the podcast went first, you know. That's good, right? Then we'll get a pizza. Yeah. But yeah, I mean, every all the design and everything you put into this is just awesome. I mean, you have you have what's the glass? The stained glass. You have the light coming everywhere. You have these seating areas that are behind the pickleball over here. You know, I know it's like smell-o-vision right now, but we're trying to give you a good vision of how awesome it is. Everywhere you go in here, there's somewhere else to sit or hang out where you're playing pickleball. Or get some good food. Play darts. We actually were playing darts the other day when we were here. Darts. Golf simulators. Yeah, who won? Which they're not going to open, are they yet? There's a couple new holes in the driveway. Yeah, you want to know who? Yeah, that was Mike. Yeah. I'm like, Mike. I did miss a few times. And I was videoing. I love that wall, though. That wall's pretty cool. Are there holes? No. It was Mike. But yeah, that like foam, it's like so perfect. You can't even tell where you hit into the wall or anything. Yeah, it's just these like felt little adhesive panels that we stuck up in that fun pattern. Yeah, when you guys weren't looking, we were like, come on. Well, what Mike didn't know that you have to hit the middle ball side. Like, Mike, you've never played. I'm a pickleball player. Yeah, that's right. I'm Pickleball Padel. What's going on? But anyway, and then we have the center here. What I really love is that it's coming here soon is the golf simulators. How many of those? You got four? We have four of those on site. And yeah, the style that we're doing, it allows for, you know, you can play golf, you can play baseball, football. And so it's just really approachable kind of for all ages. Like I'm not the best golfer, but, hey, I can throw, you know, a baseball at a wall. It gives you a few different options and just keeps you entertained for a longer period of time. And it's also like just something to fill the gap between maybe you playing pickleball and grabbing some dinner. You could also jump on one of the simulators. When you're not isolated, I like how you put them in the middle here. So you're not, sometimes you go to, I play a little bit of golf. I'm not great, but I play some golf. And you go to these places and the simulators, like you feel like you're in a cave, you know. This is nice. I think where you put them is right in the center of the atmosphere. So nobody's feeling like they're left out. And I think that speaks to the intent of the design you're talking about. We designed this space to be a social gathering space. We want you to interact with other people. We want you to make new friends. And that's why pickleball paired so well with the concept. And then you guys have a concert outside or a concert venue out there? Yep, it'll be a spring edition. But yeah, we have the nice concrete pad out there that then we will build a stage. And with being in an industrial area, you know, the closest house is a thousand feet away. So we don't have to worry about, you know, disrupting any of our neighbors. Yeah, that's nice. With sound. Yeah. And it's nice because you still get a nice view of the skyline. So it'll be, I think, a really neat venue. And since we were here last, you got the fire pit in too. We just seen the fire pit. That's awesome. That's a big pit. That's a big pit. It's pretty much a bonfire. Yeah. Have you guys been out there with a couple beers and drinks? I mean, that's what we did for one of our recent photo shoots is, yeah, it was spring. And so, yeah, he's putting a cocktail down there. That's super awesome. That's really good. Nice, nice. You can still see the mountains and downtown. And, yeah, it's a nice little. And pizza too. Yeah, I can't wait for summer. Pizza, yeah. Oh, yeah, pizza. We can't forget the pizza here. Yeah. So how many pizzas is it? Can you make any type of pizza or is it, you know? I think we'll be opening with like 15 pizzas, something like that. No build your own to start, but we'll grow into that pretty quickly. All right, all right. I like it. For sure, yeah. Yeah, but all the offerings, the pizza offerings are good enough. You're not going to want to build. Yeah, this is. You're going to stick with one. This man looks like he knows how to build the pizza. Well, and he's such an artist though. Like, I mean, we've got some of your standard pizzas, but we've also got some unique ones that I had never had before. Yeah. I don't know if we want to spoil any surprises here. Any, like just one maybe? Yeah. I mean, we're going to bring in the pineapple debate into our world of pizza and does it belong there or not. So we ripped on it a little bit, made a pineapple sauce, a little more acid to it, cut that sweetness, and that'll be the base of the pizza. And then instead of using ham, which everyone uses, we're going to use mortadella, which is Italian bologna with some pistachios in it. Oh, man. Wow. Is that good? Yeah. Yeah, that's good. It sounds good. It sounds really good. A true pizza believer and, you know, pineapple has no place on pizza. So you guys all have a survey on this? Yeah. I mean, I've changed my tune a little bit. Yeah. I would agree wholeheartedly. And it's like, you know, he's only had, you know, Nick's only had two weeks with the oven and it's like each day that we come in, it keeps getting better and better. And so. Yeah. You guys, when we were here a month ago, they were still welding around your oven, which that's another thing when you come here too. The guy, I forgot who, you don't have to tell me who it is, but he's done all this artwork welding and it's just awesome. Yeah. Aaron Holzer. Used to own his own fabrication company, did a ton of work for Whole Foods and a bunch of really cool restaurants in town that have, you know, some really sick fixtures. And yeah, we relied on him pretty wholeheartedly and gave him a lot of creative liberties to do some of this cool stuff. Oopsie. A little melody. Edit. But yeah, I mean, just incredible. So, you know, when people think of a warehouse pickleball place, right, this isn't a warehouse pickleball place. This is a nice place. There was a lot of thought put into this. It is unbelievable that, I mean, the talent behind that guy, not only can he, you know, build it in SketchUp, but then he can also build it in real life. Like usually you get one or the other, the design and then, you know, the actual fabrication and he's kind of the one-stop shop. It's awesome. I mean, even all these pits you have in the front where you can go sit with your friends or family or do a little event with all that. It's just the way it's all elevated. It's just not some chairs thrown in there and say, hey, there's a party room, you know? I mean, it's pretty cool. And it looks like 30 people can fit in that pit, right? Maybe more. That's how close you want to get. Do you have a nice conversation pit? That was always the idea. Awesome. I mean, I remember a friend growing up had, you know, a similar kind of conversation pit for his living room. And I always loved just sitting at different elevations with people around us having conversations. And I was like, can you put this in a bar and rest? Is this allowed? Everybody's going to love that. Yeah. And I think it's just, I mean, it's just, again, playing on the social aspect, right? You get 10 people in there, you're all kind of looking at each other. You're going to strike up a conversation and get to know each other. Yeah. That's what I would try and tell people when you say pickleball here, which is I love pickleball and that's all I really want to do is play pickleball, but I can come here and have a meeting. I can come here and have a party. I can bring some friends. I mean, it's just not a place you're just not going to feel welcome and warmth and comfortable to be here. You know, this could be an all day place. I mean, honestly. We can actually come work here with our computer. We'll have our coffee. Yeah. That's the goal. Yeah. Right? Yeah. Well, I mean, I think Gio can speak to that more just with Improper City. It's like, you know, there's 60, 70 people there during the day working on their laptops, having their meetings and making their calls. And then, you know, four or five o'clock, depending on, you know, what day of the week it is, they transition over and, you know, have a beer and, you know, kind of round out their day. Yeah. That's what this, this place is awesome. I mean, it's just, I can't wait, which we're getting close. Right? Right. So getting pretty close. Early time about January, early January sometime. We're, we are a few weeks out. We got a few more instructions. So we're just waiting to see what the, you know, timeline looks like there. But no, we are, we are within, you know, weeks. Well, we'll post it on our Instagram. Let everybody know that you guys are opening. Oh, yeah. And it's going to be a big party. Yeah. What do you mean? Well, look out. We got some billboard campaigns that will be starting next week out by the airport. I am on I-70, on I-25. And yeah, we're going to be hitting it with social media, Gio fencing, Google ads. Like, yeah, it's, we're going to be screaming it from the top of the hills. Piglar's next door. Exactly. Exactly. So one thing everybody's going to ask me that I've been out. Look what I'm wearing, guys. Oh, nice. Where's yours at? I didn't get one. Again. Nobody gave me one. Well, because you got to hang out. You got to be part of the crew here. But you know what? I'll get you guys. I'll put your, your little, the raccoon on one of these for you. Yeah. I think that's going to be better for everyone. But a lot of people ask, well, what is Mood Swing? So what did it, how did you come up with the mood, the name Mood Swing? Yeah, that was, I mean, we probably argued for it. Well, we discussed. Discussed. You guys don't argue. No, no, no. With our, you know, we, we hired a guy who did the branding for Rayback Collective in Boulder, Improper City down in Rhino to help us kind of figure out what this, you know, it's hard to put a name on something that has this much going on. And we probably spent six months kind of narrowing it down from, I think we started with 500 potential names. Oh, my gosh. And then the last three, it took probably two months again of discussion to kind of settle on Mood Swing. And, I mean, it's. It's easy to remember. Yeah. It says exactly what it is. I mean, come on. This is, this is it. Yeah, it's just a little bit of everything. It is. And we didn't want to, you know, not to knock on anybody else. Everybody does some riff off of Pickle or Pickleball or, you know. And we were just like, yes, we do Pickleball. We want you guys to think of us as. More. More than that. And so we needed to come up with a name that was ambiguous enough. But you still have, you know, the word swing in there, which implies. The swing of Pickleball. Yeah. But the mood, you know, what, you know, it's perfect because it's just places. I mean, nothing going on here. You're not open yet, but it's still just. I can come out and hang out here still, you know. And I think that the goal here, though, is like we want to draw in those first timers. Like they're here. They're having some pizza and they're like, what the heck's going on over there? Yeah. They venture over because like Pickleball is still so in its infancy. I mean, it's been around for what? Since the. Sixty five. Yeah. Nineteen sixty five. It's like it's been like the last five to ten. Oh, yeah. But it's going to just grow even more. Yeah. So what we're only at. I mean, how many millions of players, but like it's still relatively small. Yeah. Yeah. Portion of the population. So that's where it's like, let's get as many people through the door. Just naturally for the cool, cool experience. And then maybe they find themselves on a Pickleball court. Yeah. Well, you did a nice job on the Pickleball courts. We're actually on the Pickleball courts with our podcast. Beautiful courts. Really nice. I mean, I love the colors. Yeah. Lighting here is awesome. I mean, you get the natural light, which is really cool, too. Like, that's another thing with this building. It's like there's so much to it that everywhere you look, there's something going on, you know, so you get it from the new and the old, you know. Yeah. And it just inspires that that curiosity to go exploring and go through the whole space because every time you turn a corner, there's something new that you haven't seen yet. Yeah. And we didn't even talk about the outside. There's another six courts that are outside. There's six inside. And then there's half of the courts, whether there are four of them outside, that are covered. Correct. And they're going to have heaters. And you're eventually going to have something that actually kind of covers it a little bit. Right. Yeah. We got gas out there, so we can hook up heaters. We'll have some fans. And then, yeah, you know, hopefully at some point next year, we'll do some drop-down sides. So, I mean, you know, Denver, you know. Oh, yeah. What month are we in? And it's 65 outside. I got my flip-flops on today because it's 65. Yeah. You know. But it's beautiful. I mean, but us hardcore pickleball players, I mean, after 45, we're out there playing. If you have heaters, we're going to have our tank tops on. We're out there playing. So we're ready. The spot that we all played by my house is like we were out there shoveling the courts. So you can play. Yeah. I like it. So other than the pizza, you guys have other food items, right? Appetizers and different things like that? Yeah. We'll have a full food menu, a bunch of appetizers kind of leading into like Italian, Mediterranean vibe, hummus, salads, chicken wings, flatbread, pizzas. What else? Nice. Well, we were looking at pricing. It was great pricing, guys. Yeah. Still finalizing. Sure. But still looks very fair. No, I know. But we want to, I mean, we're part of the community and we want to make it approachable by the community. We want people to come. Same thing with how we're going to price our pickleball. We want this to be something that you can do multiple times a week or multiple times a month. Not like, all right, geez, I got to save up and go out to Mood Swing. Free Wi-Fi. You can come here. You don't even have to spend a dime to walk in our door. Hang out. Just hang out. Any kind of membership? Or is that in the works? Yep. That's in the works. Nothing in terms of being able to use a court. Maybe some benefits or discounts on food when you book a court and things like that. Nice. Something along that. Yeah, I think, again, to try and draw in some newcomers and be very inclusive. We didn't want to do anything that would give people priority bookings or things like that because it just, I mean, it's not fair. Kind of first come, first serve. Yeah. We just want as many people to play the game as possible and get to know each other and socialize and hang out. Yeah, that's what this is here. This is about the social end of it, which is really awesome. Yeah, when you're booking a court and you show up with your friends and then you hang out with your friends and then you leave with your friends, that's definitely an experience and I enjoy doing that at times. But the thing that drew us all into Pickleball was going out and making friends. Meeting people. Yeah. Oh my God, the people we've met over the last years. It's crazy. Well, we just got back from San Diego and it's nuts. We just made all these new friends and it was like, wow. And I wouldn't have done that if not doing Pickleball. Yeah. Everybody has different play styles. So it's fun to like, all of a sudden you're like, oh, I didn't know you could hit it like that. Play around with that one later. Different serves. Yeah, they go right out. Yeah. But when you're playing with your friends every night, which is still very enjoyable. Yeah. You know, you don't get to see. You kind of know their moves. Yeah. A little more. Yeah. Well, also, did we mention that they have a coffee bar here? It's not just a coffee machine. One or a couple? This is a nice coffee bar. Yeah. We have a La Mazzocca, which is kind of the Italian standard for espresso machines. So we'll have all your special drinks, specialty lattes, cold brew, nitro cold brew, obviously still drip coffee, but definitely more on the artisanal side of the coffee. Yeah. That's what I was just trying to tell people because a lot of times Pickleball places say we have coffee and there's a pot of coffee there. This is a coffee bar, a true coffee bar. Yeah. We'll partner with one of the really good specialty roasters in town to make amazing beans. And, you know, we take pride in everything we do from the pizza to the coffee to the cocktails. Like everything's going to be done well and purposefully. Yeah. Well, this is awesome, guys. I mean, what a place. I mean, we can't wait. It's beautiful. Yeah. Yeah. We can't wait to come here. For me, this is close to me. So I live close to here. So this will be my new home. You guys will be like, come on, Mike's here again. Now they're going to put you outside. Yeah. You need a special membership. We'll get you a little plaque. A little plaque. I love it. Yeah. A little player of them every day. Now, you guys are going to have to, like, hire a bunch of people. Right. Coming up. Are you starting the hunt? Yeah. We just posted today on our Instagram and I think on Indeed and a few other sites. We're doing a large scale hiring event on Monday to try and knock out. I mean, we got to hire about 60 people off the gun. So we're doing a large scale hiring event to just meet who's out there and who wants to work with us. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We've got about 3,000 people out there and who wants to work with us. It's kind of a good time of year too. There's a lot of people looking for work right now. Yeah. We could not have been more excited about our leadership team too. Oh my, we've met. Everybody that we've talked to. Yeah. So we're worried about doing multiple events. He's like, don't worry, I've done like 15. And just his experience and just his personality and people for leadership approach I think has been really awesome and it gets reflected in the rest of the team that he's hired. And so if that's the foundation, we're really stoked to know who else we're going to get in the door. What a nice guy too. Everybody we've met is, all of them are really nice, everybody so far. No. I mean, and that's part of the play. You know what, the worst thing in the world is when you go somewhere and you just don't have good people. You know, you have to be, it has to, and you kind of know that comes from some of the management, you know, in the ownership, right? Completely from the management. It's like an owner's and all, right? Yeah. You have the most beautiful spot in the world, but it doesn't matter if you're not treated well. Right. It's not. You won't be better. You want them to come back. And then once you get this pizza, you're not, you're always going to come back. Right. I'm telling you, we could smell it. That was the worst thing the other day we were here, we were like, oh my gosh, we should ask. Yeah. We'll be in the, we'll be sitting at our computers, you know, 10 hours and like every, you know, 15 minutes, 20 minutes. And it's like, Hey, can you try this? All right. All right. Yeah. That was a lovely day. Well, it's been multiple. Lots of days of pizza. Yep. Well, I congratulate you guys on what you're doing, what you have here, the time you put into it, the thinking, the processes, everything. I know this couldn't have been fun. I'm sure there's some, uh, there was some arm wrestling nights and you know, that were like, or you wonder if you could get through it. I mean, working, building something and working with all the different cities and contractors and I mean, you pull out your hair, you know, I mean, I don't, that's why I don't have any, you know, I lost it. You guys did a great job. Yeah. Good. Flowing locks at the beginning of this. Yeah. Beautiful blonde hair. Yeah. And then you build this, it's gone. Yep. But anyway, I thank you guys. We've got a couple of hours next door. We're here to help you and we will facilitate any way to bring a lot of people to this facility. Love it. It goes both ways. You know, thank you so much for your generosity and support already. And we are looking forward to, yeah. Long-term relationship with you guys. And website that anybody can get a hold of? Oh yeah. Yeah. Give us a meeting. Even get your, uh, your, into your site. Oh, uh, mood-swing.com. Okay. Uh, and then our Instagram is at MoodSwingDenver. And then if you want to email us for whatever reason, it's info at mood-swing.com. You guys pop up really easy. I, I put in Mood Swing and it just, I mean, you guys pop up. So whoever's doing whatever, it was you or whatever, you started it, but we got some good people. It's doing good. Yeah. You pop up on everything. I mean, so that's really good. So that's good. Yeah. The word out for sure. Yeah. We're excited. We are excited. Yeah. We got to test out this pizza oven. I know. Yeah. So when are we coming back for that? So, well, thank you guys again for being on our podcast and we wish you all the luck and we'll be here at the grand opening. Can't wait. Thank you guys. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Goodbye. Goodbye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Thank you. It's on the Apple App Store. It's just for Apple for now. There is some requests for Android and other watches. It's a real time swing analyzer so you hit start and while you're playing him. Let me maybe hit a demo for our people watching. It will swing green, yellow, red in real time depending on how your swing did. You can also keep score if you swipe to the right of the watch app. At the end of the tracking it will give you a report how fast you hit, how many dinks, volleys, drives, smashes, slices and then kind of a real time coach during the game and then after the game and then trends over all your games. Gosh, this is awesome. Thank you. I'm a big data nerd. I've been in tech for over 20 years and the reason I even built this was when I was starting you know you have people yelling at you at the courts, hey do this, hey do that and I can't. I'm already so stimulated on the court when someone's yelling at me I'm like it's not registering but I'm that nerd who wants to look at the data later and I was just searching the app store. There was nothing. No. So we launched like around February of this year. Over 60 countries, lots of users, lots of feedback and it's been great since, yeah. This other thing too, us people that are getting a little bit older, not me but next to me, the scoring, this keeps your score too. That's right. Oh good. So this was a neat thing and I know it's a joke but we all do it, right? We get in the game and I forget. Who was what? Exactly. Yeah. Right now it's manual. You got to actually click, click, click. For the score. For the score. That's all right. We're thinking of a creative way with some AI to like while you're saying hey, six, seven, two. Oh. Sorry to say six, seven. And it will hear it through the mic and just record. We're not there yet. There's a lot of clever AI we're adding in but right now it's manual and there's two ways people play. They'll do one session with a score or they'll play like a whole tournament and track the whole thing. Don't keep score. It's been amazing to see how different the players play but yeah, we got score tracking. So again and when you're saying the green, that means you did a good swing? That's right. So just so people know. So you got a good swing. So to get a little nerdy with people who want to hear how it's calculating, this thing's got a gyroscope accelerometer. A gyroscope is your wrist rotation and where it is like kind of on a graph. If you guys want me to get really nerdy. Go ahead. People want to know. You can get as nerdy as you want. Okay. So the new Apple Watches have the capability to do a hundred measurements a second whereas this one or some of the old ones do 50 which is still fine. If you think about an average pickleball swing, it's like 0.3 to 0.7 seconds from down to up. That's about 35 data points on a graph with your wrist rotation and the speed and we're adding some clever AI to trace how you do versus other professionals and that's all part of what's making it green, yellow, red. Right now it's a little broken. There's a few things that are in beta. We're still pretty quite new. But a lot of that is getting better. But yeah, green is how you did versus other people who swing like you that have good swings. The common question is, well, what if I hit the net? It doesn't know how far you went. Those are some of the other apps with cameras. This is just the fundamental. Those are the glasses coming soon. Exactly. Oh, dang. Is that coming? I can't find out that far. No way. I like that. Awesome. We're going to become best friends here. I love it. That's cool. But yeah, yours is going to be red a lot. I already got green. I don't know what you got. It's going to be red. Red. Does it like when you hit something? Oh, yeah. That's a green. It's a slice. And you know, it is on my left hand. I'm not left-handed. So actually, so when it is on my left hand, it's that way. It's hitting you. And how cool. So ball speed like on your serve too, right? You can control it. Yeah. You can control it. Yeah. You can control it. Yeah. You can control it. Yeah. And how fast can it kind of give you or just more of your hand speed? Oh, great question. That's a great question because if you put like one of those guns that tracks the speed, it's not going to be one-to-one. It's like the speed of how fast your hand is going hitting the ball. It's not the speed of the ball. Okay. Okay. Good. I just want people to know. Those are the glasses coming. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. I love it. We got to talk. We got to talk here. But what an awesome, fun tool. You're going to love this. I mean, it's really hard as a coach. I'm a coach. So I teach. And how do you explain to somebody that where their hand is and this is going to show them that they're, you know... You know, some coaches are like, oh, I don't like this. This is going to replace me. No. It adds on. There's people who will share the sessions with their coach. Hey, here's how I played. And here's something I saw someone use really clever. They wanted to see, hey, why do I keep losing to this person? Well, they keep making me dink on my weak side. Here it is. All the way. So coming soon, we want to add a heat map, like where it was hitting against your body. Why am I only losing to Mike and Christy? Oh, because they're hitting me on my weak side. I got to work on that. I got the data. Let's get better. Love it. Yeah. No, I think as a coach, it's going to help me. And then when I leave them to go play a little bit, because, you know, they retain some and then go back to their old habits. Yes. They're going to say, Mike, hey, I did this. And you're right. My watch kept telling me this is what's going on. They'll be able to look at the app and say, you know what? You still got to listen to me and you still got to do it this way. Or come back to me and say, I'm still doing it. What am I doing wrong? Now I have some data to say, let me look. Here we go. I like this. Thank you. For a coach, I think this is absolutely a tool you have to have. I love it. Yes. Yeah. Because I don't think. Yeah. Because, again, a tool is only as good as the people that are helping you use the tool. Right. So as a coach, if you're a coach and you're teaching people pickleball, this is just another arm for me to have another person. Yes. That's going to help them get better. Yes. And myself. I can't wait. I, he just, I loaded it on guys. I want to go play. So I can't wait to do this. The other thing is, is scoring. People have a hard time scoring. So that really does help a lot of people. There are. Especially at the beginning. Even people that are like him, you know, he forgets too, but that's a great thing. Yes. Yeah. I mean, there are a lot of scoring apps. It's starting to become like the everything watch app. There's a lot of apps that do certain things, but this is like the scorekeeping, the swing tracking, the coach, maybe later what paddle you should use. We want, you know, we're just getting started. We have some AI. We want to make like a custom AI that's on your wrist, kind of like a Tesla and like the autopilot. I like it. Just all this data. Set it, forget it. Some people set it, forget it. Some people every game. Yeah. I mean, as you want to level up in this game, having something like that is unvaluable. I mean, what's it worth? Exactly. Yeah. I mean, I can't wait. So we appreciate it. Well, how do you. How did you start? How long ago did you start? OK. Like what? When was it in your brain that you said, I got to do this? OK. I started playing like two, three years ago and, you know, I had a watch and in my head I'm like, you know, I was like, it's a no brainer that a watch can get this data. Yeah. And then you see some other apps that do like golf apps and whatever. And I just kept searching. And I'm like, how is this not here? Like and and there are some, but they're not. They weren't at the level I wanted. I'm a big data nerd. I've been in engineering for 20 years. I like the graphs like and, you know, I don't. A coach is very invaluable. Data is also invaluable. It's not lying. So in my head, I'm like, well, why doesn't this exist? So I created this very basic prototype that just went green red. If it was good or bad. That was it. Just so I can. Super smart. Yeah. Like while I'm playing on the court, I could see like, hey, was that good or bad? Yeah. And so so I have real time live, you know, and again, it's not like I'm watching it, but I can hear it. There's also a sound element. I I created a prototype like two, three years ago. I kind of left it. And then I was recently laid off and I and earlier this year and I just took all these ideas I had off the shelf and I'm like, and when I kept building this one, I'm like, this just feels good. Like I remember when I got it working at like late in the night, I just got up and was like, this feels it just felt good. And when I went to the Naples tournament in the the tournament in Naples last year, and I kid you not, I wouldn't even finish talking and everyone was downloading it, giving me feedback. And I was like, whoa, there's like this is I think after amazing, you're going to get a lot of hits today. Go on. How do we get that? Awesome. And here you are at nationals. I mean, here we got 50, 60 courts going on at one time. I'm pickleball is not getting smaller. No. And we want more. Right. We want more. The more you play this game. I don't know what level you play at, but I mean, you want more. Yes. Especially when you start to level up to that four and above. Yes. Now you're you want more. And so this is going to give you that more. And even at a beginner, like some of us or some somebody near me is going to have a lot of reds, but she'll make it. You know what I think? I need some testing data. That will be green. It is on my left hand. And that's one thing everybody needs to know that it has to be on the hand that you are using that you play with. Right. I play with my right. But my watches on my left just aren't going to work. So I guess you're probably not going to get much. Sorry. Hey, only when I win. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. And we'll test that. I'm slapping Mike when I'm hitting him on the right on the podcast. So we'll know that that would be a good one. Good. Actually, we'll test that. Yeah, there you go. I'll have a feature slap. That analytical available right now. Right. Yeah. I've it's free on the app store. There's a subscription model, which is to get historical data like your other sessions. But you can totally try it for free if any pros or coaches are listening and want to work with me. We're training the data on more on professional players. And pretty soon what we wanted to do is like become like a AI autopilot, like it'll adjust to your game, how you're swinging, how fast. We do have that baked in right now. In the beginning, you'll see five swings, 10 swings, warming up and learning your swing. But the more people we get to use it and train it on, the better it is. That's crazy. Yeah, that's awesome. Thank you. So yeah, I don't see this going anywhere. And I know we're like I said, we just we got some inventions after this pod. Well, so another thing, does it do calories and all that? It's burned. So it does do that. Okay. Because you know what? When I do my apple, it only has tennis, right? So I mean, not that that matters, but that's good. I love that you've just brought this up. One of the biggest things that we want to do is, you know, it is a fitness application. Since launching in February and its growth, the amount of games played, the amount of calories burned collectively has been over a thousand pounds. We're going to create a marketing campaign where, you know, let's lose, like, let's get healthy with Pickleball. Collectively. Yeah. And I'm going to probably post that on our social pages and, you know, get clubs and people involved. I love it. If you can get the fitness in there, too. Yes. You know, we're not drinking enough, you know, fluids. We're not eating enough. Yes. Oh, hey. Water intake. Not just that. Hey, I noticed your your swings off. You might be getting tennis elbows soon. Oh, wow. Yeah. Fatigue meter, all that stuff. And you could track that. There's a daily view where you could see, you know, how you're playing. Yeah. We may be calling you to make sure we're utilizing the whole thing. Oh, that's fine. I'll do it. I'll do it. We got his number. You guys, they don't get it. But we do now. We'll try to do a YouTube. We'll get together after this and collaborate and do a YouTube for all our clients and people. Yeah. Go ahead and tell everybody a shout out where they could get this today. Apple Watch or sorry, Apple App Store. Pickle Watch. One word. Pickle Watch. It's it's going to show up. Number one. We're number one. We're in the top 10 on the App Store for Apple Watches. Or I think if you type in Best Pickleball App, we're number eight right now. So. OK, well, that's going to be number one soon. Right. Yeah. We're we're out of one. Number one. Yeah. We're out of town right now. But when we get back, we'll we'll put this in on our website. Yep. On our website. We'll work together. Christina, Mike. This energy is super great. And I give them credit. This is their seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth episode today. Yeah. Yeah. There's like four coffees today. Yeah. You can see that we're trying to eat some chips in between and stuff. Well, we've got to say thanks to our our two helpers here. Yeah. Palmer. They're keeping us going. They keep bringing people. Yeah. We keep trying to go get lunch. And one more. One more. You got another one. Lisa was yesterday. And then we have Andrew. Right. Yes. Over here. Andrew. Pickle. Andrew. Andrew. His account on Instagram. He looks like he'll take you down and it will show on your watch. Yeah. Just so you know, it will. Swing. Swing. Swing. It will. Yeah. If you miss, I don't know. I love it. Well, thank you so much. Awesome. Thank you for having me. You're going to hear more about this. I just I kind of want to nerd out on this. Yeah. This thing is awesome. Yeah. Heck yeah. Maybe in a year we'll do a recap. Oh, definitely. This is going to be sooner than that. Yeah. Awesome. Yeah. We'll be. We'll watch you. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great. Great.
